We are now two expansions since Hellfire Citadel and why do we still have that annoying Hellfire Assault boss not altered so we don’t have to find anyone to make sure we can 100% get by that boss so we can easily solo the other bosses which are not that stubborn. I soloed that Hellfire Assault on normal mode with my mage last week but for some reason I can’t seem to get it this week. Blizzard is always late on fixing bosses like this. It took them to the end of Legion to finally fix Galakras so you could solo it without looking for a friend. Its not hard to just adjust the number of shells I need to kill the wall or just make it where one cannon has to survive instead of both of them. You could also just make a skip which will be fine as well. You are lucky these days if you find a HFC group and normally they are mythic groups.

Two expansions later, still annoying as all get out.
Yeah I’m eager to farm Mythic Hellfire and get my mogs done, can’t because the first boss is a block.
This is one of those things I don’t understand why they don’t just quickly change. It’s simple numbers and healthbar change and it would help a ton of people just farm this place. Why do they do this?
I don’t farm for mogs much, but felt this post deserved a like for all those that do. It’s sad they don’t fix this stuff. some Jr level dev could probably fix the raid over a lunch if they really wanted to put the effort into it.
You think that’s bad the slime boss in AQ is back to not being soloable by some classes again. I know I can’t solo it on my ret paladin anymore and it’s gloves are the last piece I need for the mog.
Had a hard time soloing it on mythic, would totally love to have it be a little easier for higher levels
(like scale cannon health to ours or something so they don’t die if they are left alone while I’m running back and forth)
This is the only freaking raid i can’t do, just cause the first boss, seriously, this feels like a joke, years later and they haven’t even touched this …
And it’s certainly not for lack of people requesting, there are thousands of posts and comments complaining about this.
Can Gorefiend be soloed? Did they fix him at all? Because he keeps resetting for my friend and I when he sucks us both in. We get lucky sometimes, which is how we end up killing him if it’s staggered enough to immediately leave before the next person is sucked in. But solo, that’d be a problem, too.
I assure you it can be solo’d by any class.

I have, but I’d prefer to just solo the thing. It’s legacy content and it should be treated as such.
And I assure you ret paladins can’t get enough swings in to do it.
Is that the one that you have to freeze? You can use that toy that shoots snow. You could also try to get the faulty countermeasure trinket off the boss in the Warden dungeon in Legion. It turns your attacks to ice. Works for me.
I hope they also adjust the first boss in Trial of Valor. That will never be soloable.
The problem isn’t freezing him. The problem once he is frozen you have to get a certain amount of physical attacks/damage in to shatter him.
And if you use a 2h weapon you attack too slowly and attacks that do holy damage don’t count for the shatter. A paladin use to be able to do it in prot spec but not anymore and in ret spec because of the slow attack speed and everything doing holy damage it isn’t possible to shatter him.
