"for a sense of community" Stop it

Then don’t play a MMORPG, sounds like you don’t really want one.

Again I say, yikes

If you’re this obtuse to not know what we had during the first run of Vanilla through Wrath (or even know that’s OBVIOUSLY the era we are discussing) I’m not going to bother explaining it to you.

Go do your deep diving into WoW history on your own.

If you are a friendly outgoing person, you can easily make friends in Wow.

If you keep to yourself, or are a Butthead to people… yep, you won’t find any community.

I want some chicken

This sounds like another of those everyone should quit that isn’t into group play. Wow would have to pull the plug with this objective.

As time goes by players get younger. A girl told me her 2 kids started WoW at 4 and 6 years old. Can you imagine the tank in your M+ group being 6 years old? Or even 10?

many wow players are that young and to understand why there is no community you have to understand how people of that age think and act.

Imagine 2 family’s at a hotel, one has a 10 year old female and the other has a 10 year old male. Both kids happen to meet in an elevator on the way back to their rooms. What will happen? Nothing. They will stare at their phones and talk only if absolutely necessary and pray to get out of that embarrassing and uncomfortable situation as fast as possible.

Like every M+ I ever been in.

I’m pretty sure “hating twitch streamers” isn’t a personality…

Idk. I was part of a guild for a long time. We raided and did things outside of Wow via steam and felt like a tight knit community. I took a break from gaming because my dad passed away and when I returned to WoW, I had been kicked from the guild and unfriended.

I thought the group was tight. Joke was on me I suppose.

This toon’s group, however, is pretty solid but I do agree with you, there really isn’t much of a community in gaming.

I don’t need to. I played in vanilla & Wrath. You still had to make your own community, lmfao. In fact, it was even more important back then. You couldn’t get anything done without having to reach out, personally, to other players. No LFG or LFR. Just good ole whispering. How is that not precisely what I said? That you have to make effort?

Again, would love to hear you explain how it was there without you having to make it for yourself.

About that…
