Followers outside dungeon question

Has anyone tested (because I can’t right now, all my friends are at work) whether or not the followers waiting outside dragonflight dungeon portals with a “let me help you here” prompt will let a cross-faction group of 2-4 players enter the dungeons as a follower-supported group?

I have been playing follower dungeons religiously since they dropped, and have been whining for cross faction functionality almost as long, and I just discovered the followers waiting outside the dungeon portal (who goes to dungeons portals for normal dungeons anyway? I would for this!)! If this allows for my bloodelf and his kultiran wife to run a dungeon together, I’ll be ecstatic, but I’m not getting my hopes up because I imagine someone would have “well actually’ed” my whining by now!

Anyone know the answer here?

Just FYI, you can do Follower dungeons cross faction!

I shouldn’t be surprised that seemingly no one knew this, because I mean, who enters normal dungeons the old fashioned way, but just FYI… There are follower NPCs close to the portals of every Dragonflight dungeon, and they have a prompt to basically offer to help you do the dungeon. Talking to them will admit your current party into the dungeon, with that party filled out by followers… REGARDLESS OF FACTIONS IN THE PARTY! I owe Orlando Salvatore a huge apology for pestering him about enabling…

I thought they were just for immersion purposes. You still have to queue the follower dungeon in the LFD tool, which won’t allow cross-faction.
