So i just did Queen Ansurek in story mode, which gives you a full group of followers. This functionality needs a little tweaking. Couldnt find an option to let the tank take control or anything like that. As a dps, I prefer to try and stay about max distance from the boss, but every time I tried to back up, the Tank would briefly disengage and tether back to me. All the fighting had to be done right by the boss, which is no good for a cloth wearer if theres any kind of aoe attack. Any else experience this?
I did this on my other Lock yesterday.
Follower tank yanked me a couple of times but wasn’t too bad overall.
Check your UI for any addons that can interfere. It is normally a big button in the middle of the screen above your action bars. It lets you toggle between letting the AI tank lead, or you leading.

I’ve done some "followers’ before and am aware of the feature. Tried a random follower dungeon just now to check, and the “extra action” button is still there. I guess my issue may just be limited to the “story mode” version with the 10-man follower group. As I have completed that quest, I can’t go back and recheck 
and I don’t really do alts
Queen Ansurek “story mode” is not a dungeon, it’s just the last boss of the raid so it isn’t like follower dungeons. It’s only been added so those of us who don’t raid can still keep up with the story in game
