Honestly, I think follower dungeons are a good idea for those that want to do them… However, I did not enjoy being forced to do a follower dungeon for the campaign quest.
Also, what is up with having a Shaman Tank?? That’s not… a thing. It also wasn’t terrible except the pathing on Baelgrim was abysmal and I found myself pulling extra as a healer because I can handle more than the 1-2 mob pulls he does, but that’s just me.
I queued for the ACTUAL dungeon right before, only to find out, when it said “Corruption Purged from the Stormperch,” it meant with the follower dungeon, and there was no way around.
This was very fast on the beta the first few times i tried it as a 408 ilevel dps. Not sure if they since rebalanced it, but it was pretty easy and able to be completed in good time.
It’s fair though for sure to have a use the rdf tool option instead.
The dungeon is used as an RP scenario you jump straight into as part of the campaign as you accompany a squad of earthen rather than a normal follower party.
Seems like a bit of an experiment. I was curious if people could do it as a normal dungeon instead.
Weird. The NPC tank had no issue holding threat for. I’d even pull a couple of extra groups and the NPCs handled them fine.
Did you have them following you or leading? I remember trying the leading in DF when this stuff was introduced and the NPCs caused a wipe. This time I lead and pulled, the Shaman tank dude chain lightninged everything and got aggro instantly.
I had them leading just because I play disc priest so I was trying to actually maintain proper role, and it was my 2nd time doing it so I was not confident I’d know where to go.
You’re either being sarcastic or serious and either way I have no clue.
I did it on my mage. I was nervous at first about pulling, but after try it out at the start of the dungeon, I found they’re actually really good about backing you up.
Next time you’re forced to do a follower dungeon, try making them follow you. If you get lost, switch so they lead you to where you’re supposed to go, but switch back when you see enemies.
I wasn’t sure about the direction I was going after the first boss in Rookery, but I just took a chance. Death isn’t that big of a deal at this level. Selling item drops is usually enough to cover repair bills.
