Follower Dungeons

I have been gone for a year and upon returning this week, I see we have a new feature - Follower Dungeons. For me, this is AWESOME. Thank you! I’m currently delaing with significant internet issues. My Starlink modem is crap and drops the connection about every 10 minutes and the game disconnects. I had been dreading trying to do dungeons with other players because of this. I’m able to log back in after closing the game and restarting, and the followers are there waiting for me, when I know that real players would have kicked me (rightfully so). We will hopefully be getting fiber optic in our neighborhood soon, but in the meantime, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Now if the devs would kindly work on allowing more interface edits for ultra wide screens, I’ll be in heaven.

This feature doesn’t work for me for one reason that was very predictable.

Dungeons were not designed as solo content. Making them solo content is going to introduce scaling issues.

While I appreciated having content that I could do solo it felt poorly balanced and did not make me want to play more. I just used it to get to 70 and logged off.

The annoying thing is that WoW has a ton of solo content created every expansion they just refuse to make it challenging/engaging/interesting.

While I don’t use follower dungeons I’m happy to see them as an option. I used to think it wasn’t going to really be possible but happy to see I was wrong about them. They aren’t the most intuitive and the difficulty has been dialed back quite a bit because of that. Still though they are a great feature and I look forward to it being expanded upon.

Follower dungeons is something almost everyone should use at least once to learn the basics of a dungeon. They are also useful for quests that need to be done in a dungeon. Other people may not appreciate players that look for quest items instead of concentrating on rapid dungeon completion.

I can’t wait for this.

I’ll be the first person voted out of his group by his own followers. I bet they’ll be easier to keep up with than people.

It felt that I was close during a series of wipes in the Nokud offensive. Somehow I had not grasped the need to use the catapults on thr dragon. We were very close to defeat the dragon anyway but we just didn’t last long enough.

So, no, you didn’t end up finishing? Didju go back and eventually wipe’em out?

It took several wipes before I figured out that I missed something. When done right that dragon goes down fast. Basically I had not got around to do that dungeon untill follower dungins became a thing.

We’re also getting story mode for raids in TWW!

Since then a single catapult shot can be enough. In follower dungeons that is. I suppose that killing the dragon without using the catapults is possible and may reward an achievement.

Call SpaceX and let them know. I have Starlink in the AZ desert and it works fantastic.

Storymode is an excellent way for non raiders to finish off a questing campain. It is not about the gear reward at all, just s sense of fullfilment. And the idea of not having 19 people thinking you are AFK when you enjoy seeing some nice cinematic.

These sound like Trusts in XIV which were a nice addition to help with practicing rotations in a live environment.

I have a question regarding them(as im not currently playing) and that is; are we able to do this feature as at least a duo? My GF isnt that experienced in WoW so an environment like this would help with teaching her the ropes while her not being completely on her own?

this is one of those criticisms I have with XIV’s Trust system as you’re ONLY allowed to do them on your own
