People on other social platforms like X are already spreading this concept that followers dungeons should offer less gear and basically, drop less gear just to push those solo players into a real dungeons with real players so that they can earn more rewards. When the concept of followers dungeon is for those who don’t want to be with anyone and just solo dungeons and earn rewards all by themselves and not feel rush and just explore the dungeons they’re in.
But nope there will be those who are going to push this agenda to force those solo players into group content to earn more gear when they themselves by doing followers dungeon can earn gear all by themselves with the same drop rate and the same equivalent of gears.
I don’t think follower dungeons are going to be much. I think they’re there to push new players to learn how to do dungeons just the basic concept of it. I don’t necessarily think theyr’e there for solo players to play the game.
Anyone who thinks normal dungeons should drop less content with AI bots is a wannabe try-hard. Anyone pushing keys or running raids will not care what drops out of a normal dungeon (the only difficulty AI works on) because that level of content is already beyond irrelevant to them.
No, they won’t you’re in control of the dungeon. If you activate the leading mode the NPC won’t go any further until you have caught up with them. If you think they will help you clear the whole dungeon then think again.
Those solo players should be forced into group content to get gear and while in followers dungeons they cannot earn any gear. What a nice way to kill followers dungeon and the only option for solo players to earn gear at their own pace with no one interfering them.
“Tank, heal, and DPS alongside follower NPC companions that join you on your Dungeon adventures. They will be available in all eight Normal Dragonflight Dungeons and can scale from 1–4 players. These companions will allow players to learn about Dragonflight dungeons at their own pace and provide the freedom to experiment and customize their Party makeup”
Blizzards words. Not mine.
The focus is clearly to allow players to learn the dungeon at their own pace. Not to be a loot pillar.
I am fine with them getting the standard normal dungeon rewards.
It’s not like normal dungeons offer any meaningful rewards. In FF14 you get way less loot drops for 1 player which might be fair, if you really want to have more loot drops you want to play with a group.
Personally I think what their whimpering is really about is if we have group content to keep us happy they’re afraid that somehow its going to affect their income from paid carries.
Don’t worry with the wowtoken people are gonna get paid for any type of content. Even leveling has people paying for boost. Difficulty is not the only factor for boosting.
AI dungeons should probably be kept at around normals and only give about what questing gives as far as gear drops and experience…UNLESS…they make them harder to run, which I think is going to defeat the purpose for a lot of players who just want to have fun in a dungeon without Joe the local loudmouth in there foaming and vote kicking half the group
