Follower dungeon abuse?

Is it wrong to go into follower dungeons to take the mage water / food and use that in mythic plus when I don’t have a mage in my group? If answer is “No”, it is okay to do this. They wouldn’t going into the same follower dungeon and leaving and still retaining the buffs from the dungeon/raid on and doing a mythic plus be okay as well?

If you say one isn’t as bad as the other, but isn’t cheating still cheating? I’m just curious to see what the community thinks.

I personally view both as abuse of a system that should be punished the same. They both circumvent normal means, and should be punished the same if blizzard decides to punish those players who have abused follower dungeons. Mainly cause it just shows they are going to hold things sacred and players should be held to higher accountability to deter future infractions, even if it is a thing as making players ineligible for title at the end of the season to just see someone who is like 1458 io get the title cause of how widely abused the follower system has been abused (yes that is extreme and isn’t going to happen, but gosh darn it wouldn’t it be funny though).

its a great way to get cheap, good food. I’ll be doing it every time from now on instead of wasting gold and time on cooking or the AH food.

lol

You can’t keep the buffs you gain from a follower dungeon but you can keep the food, sure. Blizz didn’t put any limitation on the free food you get from it so… yeah. Not abuse in that regard.

In the meantime, it’s definitely being used to flee world pvp fights, so that’s one instance of it not being used for good. :dracthyr_comfy_blue:

You consider going into a follower dungeon and getting mage food, cheating?

Ok then.

That may be the last time I put a mage table down on my mage … after all, if a player leaves my group and takes my food, that’s cheating.

Then you went off somewhere in there … I have no idea who ruffled your feathers.

Come on now.

I don’t see an issue with it and it probably helps that you aren’t using that server resource for very long or that you’re probably one of a very small group doing this as well.

It’s not a buff, just some food. You’re fine.

What buffs come from a dungeon that people are keeping? Because player buffs fall off the moment you leave group.

The short and easy is just leave group when the followers in the dungeon are casting the buff.

But you can go to youtube and look up yodatv, he posted a video about 3 days ago explaining the exploit

So you decided to literally post the exploit, pretty sure that goes against the Forum CoC.

Ive already called the cyber police

You’re done, bucko

So an actual exploit.

How did you equate “pick up some mage food” to “buff exploit”?

This is the weirdest hill to die on I’ve seen in these forums in the last hour.

Is that an actual exploit? cause by everyone else account here obtaining something as simple as food that they carry out of an instance that is gain from a source other then a mage by going into a follower dungeon is okay.

My original point was why is one okay and the other isn’t? Both are obtained from a source from circumventing a system. I’m just seeing what everyone ethics are. Just cause as far as conjured items go, shouldn’t lock stone be allowed to stay in bag as well?

LOL

… Warlock stones do stay in bags, until they’re used up or you log out and the conjured item disappears. Same as mage food.

Except health stones disappear at the start of M+ when you don’t have a lock in group.

Come on bucko, catch up

Ok, so in a follower dungeon, who gives the food? A Shaman?

I think it is absolutely ridiculous that you think that going into a follower dungeon and getting food and leaving is an actual exploit or even something worth being punished over.

It’s MAGE FOOD. It gives NO stats, just health.

For real? I can’t.

Have yet to see that happening to me, maybe I’m just lucky?

:dracthyr_shrug:

That or I just don’t give a damn about this, because it means nothing in general. Oh no, somebody carried food around. The horror.

The system removes buffs upon leaving group. If someone found a trick to work around not losing buffs, then yes, that’s an exploit.

… it’s freaking food. You can go to a vendor and buy food. No one cares about food. It’s useless and irrelevant. It has no power gain and conjured food is not removed from players upon leaving group.

Attempting to equate these two is over the top nonsensical.

I don’t think it should be punishable, but I wouldn’t make a fuss if they made food you got in a follower dungeon vanish when you exited.

You also shouldn’t be able to join one while in combat.

Yeah that’s crazy to think getting mage food is cheating lol. Dude is real fun at parties
