If you’re going to insist on using this system for every expansion, please do us a favor and rework the follower AI so they actually follow you instead of blocking you whenever you try to interact with something.
I agree. Today, some guy stole my quest item from me because as I was trying to click it, my none stop talking, loud mouth, pull everything in the entire zone bodyguard was in the way. It will be nice when I don’t need to have him hanging around getting me into trouble.

They need a feature like a whistle. When you need them use the whistle, or a conch shell to keep with the sea theme, to summon them and then dismiss them when done.

Click though… tired of moving off a cliff or whatever or just moving forward when I need to click an item.
Yeah those followers are super annoying with the non-stop talking. At least in Legion, the followers were somewhat amusing. The Monkey King was, anyway.

From a stealthy standpoint, I will vanish while they keep attacking. Then once the mob kills them they come after me
There should be some AI applied to them. They are pretty dumb bots and always get in the way.
