Everybody is mad that they didn’t get to “punish her for her crimes” but it should be obvious that Sylvanas is going to sacrifice her life at the end of the expansion.

I’ll be honest I didn’t really care what happened to Sylvanas, I was more interested in the Jailer’s new design. I’m very satisfied with his new look, because he looks absolutely awesome.
Big bad is looking pretty… bad.
The only way she will ever die is if she sacrifices herself. Period.
Sylvanas will never die, she’s used extensively in their marketing because of her popularity. Can’t get rid of that merch money for Bobby Kocuck.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing what happens to her now. Before it was fairly limited but now, well, lots of possibilities.
If anyone feels any grief because she didn’t die, twirling her moustache and crying “Curses, foiled again!” I dunno what to say.
And I reckon she was just a tiny bit triggered into it by Nathanos’ death and her old partner not bothering to mention it. Bad move, big bad ugly overlord.

Sylvanas has never been that huge a draw to Warcraft. She is easily behind Arthas, Illidan, and Thrall in terms of marketability and popularity.

Are people reading this as true redemption? It seems to me she’s going to be Garrosh war crime trial’d. Jailer demoted her and took away juiced up powers and now she’s at the mercy of everyone else.

I can’t say it’ll be all is forgiven, even im not that naive, but she wasn’t outright killed and boom forgotten, there will be a much deeper story and twists, thats enough for me

Honestly, power to them, good twist. I expected them redeem her in some form, but giving her soul back (is that what it was?) is kind of even more interesting. It’s going to be a different dynamic now between her and all protagonists. She’s probably going to die in the end anyway, but this time for good, sacrificing herself. Sounds kinda cheesy, but it will depend on how they make use of this opportunity to develop her character from now on.
