Thank you blizzard for the baseline addition of Focused Will. Holy really needed this but i’m super happy its baseline for all priests. This is a welcome return to our baseline toolkit in a passive way to help with our survivability. I would still really enjoy seeing the old Divine Spirit (Disc talent from Classic) returned. This would be a great potential for Disc and Holy to balance any mana issues, and creates another reason to bring a Shadow Priest to the group.
Are you being serious or not? I can’t tell. Holy has focused will and it stacks twice, discs version only stacks 1 time. Always was baseline so I’m confused
Edit: just went to the notes it’s just a rank thing. Holy has always had this ability baseline

Focused will is a pretty bad defensive tbh. It only works good in pvp.
It only reduces MELEE dmg, and in most PvE situations we’ll be hit by ranged or magic damage.
So yea it’s pretty bad.
It actually reduces all damage taken, but the only way to get the buff is by getting hit by a melee attack. Which is what makes it so bad. If Desperate Prayer applied both stacks instantly both of them would actually be pretty good.
Pretty good in pvp though like you said.

Dam misread the ability tooltip, yea you’re right it reduces all damage but only procs on melee hits.
So yea still sucks since most of the time we won’t be hit by melee attacks in PvE.
Desperate prayer procing it would be great!
This the problem I have with priest overall in general. Our only row that enhances our survivability is always going to be overtaken by Angelic Feather because without it, our mobility is utter garbage. Why is this allowed? Please someone tell me - you have monks that have roll, druids that have cat form for an immediate 30% boost with no drawback- 45% with the feral affinity talent WOW, and shamans have ghost wolf that you can cast without a CD as well. Paladins have fairly bad mobility as well but at least they have SOMETHING baseline. Why are we not fighting for Angelic Feathers baseline? Someone tell me PLEASE.
Seriously Blizzard, make Angelic Feathers baseline so that the other two talents can for once be put to use. To replace Angelic Feathers you can make talent that activated Focused Will if taking ANY damage more than 10% of your health or something. Seriously guys we need to fight for this.
On the PTR Focused Will stacks twice for Disc. Shadows version only stacks once. Didn’t check against retail.
Holy has this though already on retail. Stacks twice. Same on the PTR.
