/cast [target=focus] shadowstep isn’t working since DF, please fix before season starts
This one is an alternative I am using for now. But is for focus only
#showtooltip Shadowstep
/cleartarget
/cast [mod:shift,target=focus, focus] Shadowstep
all @focus macros aren’t working. can’t blind focus, can’t step focus.
everything is fine only @focus shadowstep isnt working for me
yeah? you can cast tricks of trade at your focus? you can blind your focus?
Yes I can blind focus.
It’s not just focus step that is broken, you can’t mouseover step if you have a target either
I think and please correct me if I am wrong, that has to do with the auto self cast option. If you disable it in the interface options menu (i think that’s where it is), it should work like it always did.
I can’t test this currently but I will and report back.
I just remember from beta and this sounds like the same issue.
ok I got it to work ( didn’t turn off auto self cast). the only problem is you have to hit the macro twice for step + kick
/cast [target=focus, exists] Shadowstep; Shadowstep;
/use Kick
Also got the blind focus to work
#showtooltip Blind
/cast [target=focus, exists] Blind; ;
/use Blind
Auto self cast doesn’t make a difference
Yes thanks I was able to test it and it does not affect it in any way.
For now I guess all macros who want to target a focus target or mouseover target need a
/cleartarget
in the macro to ensure it isn’t cast on the current target.
/targetlasttarget
at the end and you have the same target again.
Kind of a workaround but it works for me.
Hope this helps.
BUMPPPPPPPP is it that hitting step bind now auto highlights cursor like its a cursor macro, didnt do that before right
It works know. If u want a macro that shadowstep ur target or mouseover when u have it, it is this one:
#showtooltip Shadowstep
/cleartarget
/cast [@mouseover, exists][@target, exists] Shadowstep
/targetlasttarget
I remember when to be good as a Rogue you needed actual SKILL. Now everyone uses macros and it cheapens things a bit.
I personally would rather defeat an enemy without any macros, rather than using them because I cannot play properly. Nothing against those that use them, but there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between a Rogue player that is good and a Rogue player that is only good while using macros.
Quoting myself from another thread…
Back when there were 5 or 6 abilities to use. Not 20.
Shadowstep macros have been around since tbc. Unless you’re saying rogue peaked skill wise in vanilla, where it was arguably one of the strongest
How does it take less skill by using focus macros lol, it’s faster than tab targeting then blinding so people use it more, stop living in 2008
It also doesn’t expose who you are targeting either. If I’m healing and I see a rogue suddenly switches targets to me you can bet I’m gonna stop casting expecting the step+kick to come through.
Shadowstep macro don’t make you out of skills, just make your life better when you have to change targets. Macros are part of the game default. With that much of options to use skills, items, toys, you need something to help you with. You say you don’t use macros, and about addons? Addons make a difference between rogues, not macros.
ffs fix this? this is the most annoying thing in the game for me rn lol i cant focus kick, gouge, blind cheap, kidney nothing lol wtf all because i cant focus step to them feel handicapped
