Is focus magic worth 5% or 10% crit when making talent comparisons (singular dps).
Ofc assuming the meta world all goes focus magic and mages pair into one another.
yeah its a dps increase if two ice mages swap, but I think that’s it.
In very rare circumstances where two mages cast on each other, it can be beneficial, but is less effective the rest of the time. Which is a shame because I love the idea of Focus Magic (and even insisted on running it for a very long time before switching out), but it just couldn’t keep up with the others in that row. I actually really like boosting healers with it. I have a whole other thread where I talk about my experience/experiment with it, and in the end, it’s just not very good where it’s at right now.

I’m not entirely sure what you are asking, but between 2 frost mages it should generally be up almost 100% of the time. So it would be worth 10%.
Its not just the value, its riddled with problems, its a spell that falls of on death, it has a short duration that needs to be reapplied. I didn’t see it in any of the datamined dragon flight stuff, I believe this talent will be retired.
