FMP or RMP or etc

I have a couple of mage friends (go figure) instead of making a third mage I thought I should go a different route.

Is there any reason FMP (feral/mage/priest or pally) would be better than RMP… or possibly even God or WMD (warrior/mage/healer)
… is there a clear winner here? Does FMP stand out at all?
