Flying as it is, where you just mount and take off.

Gliding like in Guild Wars 2, where you need to work for your speed and flying distance? Because that’s what dragon riding is.

Never flew in Ark, I preferred riding a brontosaurus and making a little base on its back.
with griffins you need to dive bomb to pick up speed

Depends on a lot of small details but Dragonriding sounds like it has a lot of potential to make getting from point A to point B more fun, which is cool and IMO better than air-swimming at 310% speed. Actually it’s kind of amazing that TBC style flying has lasted this long, because it’s been dated feeling for a long time.

Haven’t tried it but if it’s like GW2 I will take dragon riding. So much better than press space bar and hold six seconds followed by autorun.

For what the theme and zone is, dragon riding sounds more interesting, involved because let’s face it, it’s a glorified pathfinder… might as well have some immersion and thematic new thing to do in WoW in the bigger open zones they’ve done if I play.

Gliding could easily be very annoying. It’s nowhere close to a substitute for flight.

I just look at GW2, the one they stole from, it’s actually look pretty fun.
But it definitely need 700% movespeed in WOW to feel that sense of speed.

Depends on where it is and what the intent is.
Just going from A to B? Dragon ride your way there and have some fun.
Doing herb farming? I’m not accepting physics into my life to min max my herb runs.

I really did NOT LIKE GW2 gliding…that’s why I left GW2. Almost make it…nope slowly fall to your death. Slow connection? forget about it…it was terrible…in my opinion. You may like it but it was really irritating.

Flying as is. They go down this road and don’t allow us to use our regular mounts then I think I won’t be buying the next expansion. I am sick and tired of gated everything and limiting flying.
I think the time is now that we players become very vocal on flying versus dragon riding.

I plan on rolling a demon Hunter
if I wanted to glide instead of fly, Id just use my tinker on my cloak.
Im sure this having my PAID FOR IN REAL $$$$ mounts just nullified to appease Ions ego will fester in my head for a few more days and I’ll just unsub entirely.
I told the wife earlier how this is going to work and she hit screw it immediately. Shes already hated the entire SL expansion so this is just the boost she needed to unsub and quit.
We have ESO accounts that DONT annoy us on a weekly basis to play instead.
