I think an eventual Classic TBC and Wrath are a foregone conclusion. And yeah, it would be a joy again to play the game back when you had a lot more freedom to play how you want and enjoy the things you want.
Anyway, I was just looking at the latest Ion interview on mmo-champion and says the team is still listening to feedback as to how to handle flying going forward. I wonder where they’re getting that feedback from. Threads like this? I find that unlikely. To be fair, personally I’m probably not contributing a whole lot by attacking the devs since that’ll just make them tune out anything I might say. But after years of talking to a brick wall that’s where I’ve ended up.
In any event, if they want feedback…just look at your own past. WoW got it right. WoW got SOO much right in the past. You have the blueprints for a successful mmo. Their insistence on disregarding what made the game a colossal success in the first place is truly astonishing.

TO be honest, I have NO idea who they are getting Feedback from, and they definitely wont say. Its fine though, because many are watching what they do with Shadowlands Alpha and Beta. If they mess this one up, the only WoW killer out their are the Devs. So far, every expansion after WoTLK was a downfall and a blueprint to killing their own game. Story, boring and not engaging when it comes to decision making or drawing the players in. Abilities, taken away. Fun = Punishment. Housing, non existent; wait we got inns, sorry. FF14 inns are more comfortable then this
. RPG Elements = Battle Pets. Weapon designs are horrible for Hunters (Bow/Crossbow/Gun, and still can’t use enchants). Almost most of Mail and some Leather armor designs look like Normal or Heroic dungeon drops, while plate and leather have cool in depth raiding quality armor. Imaging playing this game for so long and this the type of quality gear you get. No legendary type stuff, just low dungeon armor, for mail/leather. Shoot, Mobile games have better design for their armor. Legendary cloak you worked hard for in MoP, can’t enjoy the effects. Years of getting legendaries, took them how many expansions to finally add weapon legendaries to the xmog list? No updates on ability animations, wait Paladins got some goodies and priest, I think. Idle combat stance looks horrendous. RNG so bad, players go 1 month with 2-3 pieces of loot, while others get 10+. Also, don’t forget the fact that you get THE SAME bracers 10 RUNS STRAIGHT IN VISIONS!!! Limitations = Wow game plan. So, if they are claiming they’re listening, we will see during these testings. Can’t wait
will be good.

The history of WoW is a textbook as to how to create an amazing mmo and also how to destroy an mmo. They really covered all the bases.

Aren’t they still, and by far, the most played MMO, a genre that is declining?
I hate to be the one to burst your bubble but this is an MMO, they tend to be grindy. If you’re complaining about doing to content to get “things” in this case being able to fly , you really should play lesser involved games. FF and EQ even AION was more grindy than wow ever was.
Oh and before you mock me because I have “ooo less achievement points than you” this is NOT my only wow account.
You being on Thrall make you look pretty bad cause that is one of the more popular realms plus there’s a huge buff going on that gives you 100% bonus to reps so there’s no reason why you can’t get flying now starting today and have it in 7 days or less.
And I do agree with you on that. I like the concept of PF, but I think the implementation could be better.
If reps are in it at all, Honored should be more than enough (generally obtained, with a few exceptions via questing alone). And I think there should be some PvP choices available. Blizz stated when they started PF in the first place that “flying is an outdoor, overworld activity and outdoor, overworld activities will be done to obtain it” (or something very close thereto, I don’t want to look it up but I could if I had to), but they forgot about the “outdoor, overworld” PvP activities like dueling, WPvP, PvP areas they’ve added to the game in the past (i.e. in Legion). I also think Part 1 is sufficient to “master the world”. We don’t need 7-10 months of running around to know where things are and where we’re going.
I totally believe PF could be much better than it is and it could align better with multiple types of game play. But I do think that outdoor activities should be the only way to obtain it and I do not want to go back to buying it with gold.
Choices can be there even if that choice isn’t “how can I make the gold to get it”.

If you bothered to check I’ve had PF 2 weeks after 8.2 dropped. Nice try though keep it up.
MMOs are grindy but back when wow was most successful flying was NOT one of those grinds. Many of us want flying back the way it was before and not some half expansion long wait.

Thank you , thank you so much. Pathfinder was , is and will be the most stupidest content or system ever added to the game

Not worth my time, but I see you like checking profiles thats fine I have better things to do than look at whiny baby achievements which I could care less about.
I just find it very amusing that you had to mock me for “Lower achievement points” than you , as if that really means anything these days.
You’re the one that brought up “playing the game”. What better representation of “playing the game” than achievement points. You seem to be so defensive about how this isn’t your only wow account. Are you afraid of someone claiming you don’t play the game much?

I play very casually on both accounts why? why are my achievement points so important to you ? it’s getting creepy.
Yours aren’t.
You tried to call me out on “playing the game” and my achievement points say otherwise.

Whining about playing the game to get stuff… yes… Does Armory even show that you have pathfinder ?
I looked at my own and it doesn’t but I know I have it. w/e
WQs are boring and they’re the only way in the game to earn rep. I’d rather be in dungeons than doing WQs. If we could earn rep in dungeons I wouldn’t have a problem at all.
Not that hard to find…

Ok fair enough, I was looking under quests. No surprise blizz would put that into Exploring. You can also get rep from mission tables which can reward tokens for the major factions. I think I’ve also had a few missions for Najz and mechagon on the mission table too. Also contracts too help a great deal.
I think gamers just need to stop watching the rep like they would watch water to boil, might be why they feel the need to complain about this achievement.
I understand why Pathfinder was put it and it makes sense. If you’re a developer and you spend time and money to create something for your customer, do you really want them to miss it ? So much you can miss by being able to fly through.
Mission table isn’t a viable option for rep on its own. It’s supplemental at best. Contracts barely provide a boost as well.
I agree gamers should stop watching rep however, when you put a basic game feature behind these rep walls people just want to get over the walls in order to get the fun prize.
Why wasn’t it a big deal for 8 years when we instantly got flying at max level? It just all of a sudden after almost a decade it’s so important that we “take it all in”. I don’t buy it. Delaying flying is done for the sole purpose of prolonging subs. I get that they need incentives to prolong subs that’s how the business is run but nobody was quitting en mass because they got flying at max level.

I’ve always completed everything else in Pathfinder easily, and then the rest was filling those rep bars. I kinda have no choice but to watch the rep.

Get rid of pathfinder, it’s a failed side project of your game director. While we’re at it, he should be fired too.

No. No they are not the “only” way to earn rep. I thought we went through this already…

I told you WQs are the only VIABLE way to earn rep. I’m not interested in what are essentially non options.
