What level of renown will it be?
If flying is a stupid grind then im out. That will be the straw that breaks this camels back… If flying if easily obtained then I can tolerate the game.

Renown 117, exhalted with every faction including the two added, down heroic site, clear a mythic 15+ in time, and open 200 chests around shadowlands

No one knows. The latest you’ll have to wait is Blizzconline if you want news of it.
We don’t know yet. It will require Renown instead of reputations, but beyond that the details haven’t been revealed.
But we can fairly safely guess what some of them will be. Finish the story campaigns, explore the zones. Maybe the 100 world quest achieve. And some level of Renown. Pathfinders have been pretty consistent with requirements.

One thing that concerns me is, they did this during WoD, said flying would return in 6.1 and said we would learn more about obtaining it then. Maybe it’s just me being a touch paranoid, but I somehow feel like they are going to try the same stunt again.

It won’t matter. You’ll need a bunch of stuff from 9.0 that you’ll have mostly done just by playing then they’ll slap on a brand new rep or 2 that you have to do from scratch like they always do, because they don’t actually want you to fly when it matters.

That’s a lot of paranoid. They will probably do the same formula as Legion and BFA for flying. Not a big deal if you just keep playing the game til that patch - you’ll have most of the requirements done anyway.

They only did this after the public outcry over the Game Director’s Stupid decision to have flying straight up removed. Said Game Director has been sabotaging this game since WoD, and continues to do so to this day.
At 6.0 Blizzard came out stating WoD would never have flying. They had to do MASSIVE damage control after that. The game director, being the hateful/spiteful person they are, decided to implement the pathfinder system. To punish us for wanting to have flying. To make it harder to obtain.

The thing is, Unlike BfA and Legion. We don’t know what the requirements are. In both examples the achievements to unlock Pathfinder were in game on day 1. This way you new what to do to at least start the process.
This time, just like WoD… theres nothing. Theres the false promise of the first major expansion, and that it “will be tied to renown.” Which still, provides nothing. Its a statement. Theres nothing to collaborate this in game. No posts. No Flying guide posted by blizzard. Just like in WoD, we’re getting the common Cricket response from Blizzard.

If you Google WoD flying 6.1, you will find a few articles about how they initially planned to have us re-earn flying in 6.1 via a quest chain, it was much later the interview where Ion said no flying ever came out. I would link the article myself, but apparently I’m not liked enough to be able to do that.

Not a clue. Probably the last one we can reach in 9.1, knowing Blizzard.

i am sure it will be another lie from blizzard, i am sure the requirements will be complete BS and will take a lot more then just renown.

I am all for pathfinder’s waiting period but IMO it should really just be a time gate. Maybe explore all the zones, but once it’s out it should just unlock.
Idc about “doing the work”. I did the work every time and still said the rep garbage should be removed.
9 months after launch feels like a sweet spot to me. For then we can give birth to flight, fruit of thy womb.

Or, they could just do the original model of “You hit max level, Congrats. Heres flying at a small cost.”

They could but they won’t because it gives people like you what they want while not giving the people who want a period of no flying anything.
A compromise is the only solution.
Said the only rep that would matter is your renown…which is timegated to 2 a week now
