Be good to know what the requirements will be so we can work towards it
so far its renown
Whoa there, speedy gonzalez. Flying didn’t come out for the past three expacs until much much later. It’s only been a few weeks…
we will be getting it when the first major patch hits
he’s not asking for flight, he wants to know the requirements.
these were given to us pretty early on.
Safest bet is to:
- Complete all campaign stuff
- Push xpac reputations to exalted
- Get zone exploration achieves for each zone
If that’s not the entirety of part 1’s requirements that’ll be at least 90% of them.
It’s gonna be linked to Renown, and it’ll be available in 9.1, so for now just keep pushing your renown up each week.
They’ve said it will NOT involve reputations this time.
I asked this same question
Probably going to be cancer, probably will need to get another bottle of rum so I can make blackout drunk me do it
I believe the requirements for flying in SL were made much easier, compared to BfA or Legion.
Linked to renown, and will be available the first major patch (9.1)
I think people log in, do their quests and bam get it… I could be wrong but I think it’s that simple this time around.
Reps are not needed this xpac for flying they already stated before
Is everyone ready for the QQ from those who rage-switched covenants three weeks in?
THAT will be spicyyyyy
What if Blizz nerfs covenants before the patch and someone switches without knowing?
You are assuming that those requirements have already been decided, with no possibility of change. Once the requirements are announced to players, they don’t change. That is a good reason NOT to announce them yet to players.
Blizzard wants to monitor the new expansion and see how players handle things. Blizzard wants to learn what things are “easier than we expected” and what things are “harder than we expected”. They want to avoid past mistakes like “it was too hard”.
So to me, not announcing is good news.
Still gonna have to travel to oribos anyway, to get to any other zones. So there will be still travel, even with flying.
This is a devil’s advocate theory. My actual position is that enabling flight in SL is already overdue; there should be no delay between the xpac launching and flight being available in SL content.
I think what they’re trying to do is make it so that there isn’t a delay between completing the requirements and enabling flight. One of the complaints is that there was too long a gap between part 1 and part 2. They are trying to limit the gap between finishing pathfinder and enabling flight by not making any part of pathfinder available until the patch that enables flight.
I am going by previous expansion pathfinder.
Loremaster. (Main and Optional story lines.)
Explore all zones
100 World quests done
Covenant campaign completed
Max renown.
Of these the only one I am not caught up with is exploring the Maw. But my campaign is current and so is my renown.
Ugh… didn’t consider the Maw. Hopefully not. My only trips to the Maw are to enter Torghast.
Exploration is different now be sure to check the achievement page we have to do a bunch more things for that now.
