You are most likely trolling, but I’m bored and servers are down so I’ll play.
How is flying god mode? By the time we actually get it I’m dripping in mythic raid gear and deleting mobs almost instantly anyway. As a healer no less. Add that to that the fact that new zones typically don’t allow flying and those mobs I’m actually running through in old zones are mere annoyances at my i-level anyway.
Play the game instead of complaining on the forums.
So your justification is that since there is a load of people on the ground right now that means we should always be on the ground?
Are you unaware of what has happened in the game or not?
Also classic has proven that wpvp dies easily when instanced pvp with rewards starts. Next to no one wanting to increase their player’s strength wastes time doing wpvp while arena or bgs give better honor return and gear.
Whoever been here since classic days understood how social this game is. how interactive this game is.
grouping for world quests, for dungeons, heroics. helping each other to summon. and not leaving instances after first wipe (because hey i can reuque and go afk)
this game was so much fun back then. I used to wipe 20 times in LBRS and never called it a day. Now? first pull wipe? good bye!
“everyone”, or the couple of no-flying wet blankets that want to kill most of the population’s enjoyment, because they want the appearance of a populated world?
If y’all don’t want to fly, either don’t fly or find another game. I’m getting really tired of this complaint.
I enjoy flying. I love exploring, seeing the world from so many different angles. I like finding out of the way hidden places, the view of things from the sky, the expansiveness of it all. This is World of Warcraft and I like seeing the whole world from all different perspectives and heights and angles. Flying is freedom to see so much more and experience so much more.
I mean, did y’all even pay attention to everything floating around in the sky in Bastion? It’s gorgeous. I want to explore it. I want to chill out up there.
Those who try to claim “I see less people” are full of crap, imo. I see just as many people around doing quests and gathering and whatnot. And it’s the beginning of an expansion, so there are absolutely more people around you as we all play through this for the first time. No one has anywhere else to be.
So let’s go through the OP…
False. Addresed this above.
False. Can’t skip stuff you need to do, so no one is skipping anything. And we’re enjoying the terrain in new and exciting ways.
False. Navigating still requires you to figure out where you need to go, while avoiding things that are flying hostiles.
Wrong. Classic’s nostalgia is already wearing off. No one cares. And doesn’t prove anything except that y’all who hate flying have somewhere else to go.
Sure does. Do what you want, stop trying to take away things others love.
Yup people like you and me ARE part of the problem. Players are selfish to only “socialize” when the game puts them in a corner and says “Bruh socialize or you get nothing”.
If Classic wasn’t forcing it on people, I doubt you would have this glorified sense of “social” and stuff.
I’ve played since Vanilla, and before that, Everquest. Spamming zone/trade/whatever for hours on end to complete group quests isn’t fun. It never has been, and never will be.
This is another huge problem. instead of merging the servers they artificially merged them disallowing players from getting to know/see each other after dungeon ends.
There is no false nostalgia here. I played this game since 2004 and the more years passed the less social this game gets. These features assisted reducing the social aspect of this game by a huge lot.
Even if you wanted to be social in instance, you’ll never see them again. Heck, you can’t even shift click them at all! you’ll get ‘played not found’ error which has been like this since feature introduction.
I don’t want to see a populated world. In fact if I were the only person in the zone that would be preferable.
But I still don’t want flying, because zones made with flying in mind are empty pointless piles of nothing.
Just take a look at Ice Crown from the prelaunch event. Even at max flight speed it takes nearly five minutes to get from the rare to the scourgestone turn-in and then to the next rare.
And that whole time absolutely nothing happens.
That’s not playing the game. That’s having to wait without being allowed to do something else in the meantime.
