Can you release flying in the next maintenance please?, that would make me resub…I’m over this terrain.

Do you think WoW as a whole was better back when we could purchase flying at max level as soon as an expansion launched, or prefer the pathfinder system and why?

The world is still very small and flying very unneeded. I like the fact that we are still exploring how to get into nooks and crannies to get treasures (gliding as a DH makes it a touch easier when I can get above them)
Not being able to fly in the shadowlands actually doesn’t feel too bad to me. I just keep some goblin gliders to occasionally get out of trouble.
With that said, I remember in a Q&A flying is supposed to come sooner than later this time and also not have the reputation requirements.

I can’t stand being out in the world because the terrain for every zone is absolutely terrible. I do the bare minimum in terms of world quests and farming because I just hate every area so much. I’ll be a lot more engaged in it once I can fly again. I have heard that flying is going to be coming with 9.1 and the rumor is it’ll be tied to renown somehow rather than the very stupid method of needing to be friends with everyone in order to take flight so they don’t attack you on sight and shoot you out of the sky.

You can still do that when flying is available. Just stay on the ground and enjoy yourself.

A. whistle returns this tuesday and free flight still on track for next patch release
B. transportation network removed and more flight paths added to each zone and free flight still on track for next patch
C. flight returns this tuesday but requires a laundry list of achievements that include exalted status with some obscure NPC that will require at least 3-4 weeks of dailies to rep with and alts will be required to have a certain renown level to buy the book of flight after your main unlocks it
Im still slogging through BFA pathfinder, lol. It’s a bad joke.
Probably not at critical mass yet. But we’re getting there.
Ardenweald and Bastion and Revendreth and Maldraxxus will become so much more bearable once I can fly. Imagine being able to fly over all those annoying cliffs and mountains in between each world quest.
Agreed, however it’s happening at much earlier point than it has in the past.
What if the requirements won’t be met till end of 9.2? In 8.2 I had flying within 6 days of it dropping. Point is we don’t know.
I’d laugh if I wasn’t 75% certain that the list of requirements for flight isn’t going to be just like this. And the other 25% is that it’s going to be much worse. Hopefully I’ll be proven wrong in May.
I won’t though. 
Oh I’m sure when the patch releases there will be some work to be done to unlock it. More progressive story quests. Like broken shore. I wouldn’t expect to be be flying on day one.
