Flying needs to be sooner than week 4

A lot of players have expressed overwhelmingly that Zereth Mortis feels very much like zone built for flying and the majority feeling i’ve been reading is that players are just not going to bother interacting with much of the zone until they can fly because of this.
I’m not sure why PTR was changed last minute to make it week 4 instead of week 3 but can you hotfix this to be week 3 again? Even week 2 would be really nice. The zone is really nice to experience stuff in but a lot of the truly fun niches of it (treasure and achieve hunting etc.) feel very restricted without flying.

The whole situation is silly to be honest. But there is no changing their minds on it right now…

4 weeks of flying is alot better than Pathfinder achievements

you would prefer Pathfinder back then?

I mean, zereth mortis has plenty of flight paths and heck, you can even use the recon robot daily as a way to get around until you turn in the quest. At this point I think the only reason people want flying is because they want to /autorun in the direction of what they wanna do and not have to do things like traveling, or learning terrain.

I would prefer the war on flying to end and let players use the feature before the content gets stale, but the devs are still salty about the backlash during WoD.

I mean pathfinder took roughly 4 weeks to grind out the rep and you still need to grind out the rep for the legendary memory anyways … so this is kind of a distinction without a difference.

An extra week of no flying. You’ll spend 7.5% of the patch without flying rather than 5%. Not a big deal.

I would prefer not having flying trivialize the experience while its still fresh.

All I’ll say about that is that at least for those of us who are progression-minded and who enjoy no-flying, the first 4 weeks of the patch prior to double leggo unlocking and the rep grind ending will get to enjoy the zone in a fashion that is more reminiscent of the older days of WoW.

I like having elite sub-zones where you can actually die, and may have to actually fight your way to treasures rather than swooping over them and dropping down. Gameplay in my game is something I like.

I’m just happy that there will be flying at all.

i’m on the side of “why gate flying at all?” but i’m also not depressed about it.

i’m not in the mythic raiding scene this expansion so maybe my casual brain just can’t understand the method to the madness.

You mean week 4 if you do absolutely nothing but Play WoW every day for 4 weeks.

No.

You can already have most of the requirements except the time-gate completed if you binged the game yesterday. You definitely don’t need to no-life for 3 weeks.

You don’t even really need to do that, after reading all the requirements, it sounds pretty easy and like you may only need to work on it maybe a couple of days a week at most.

That too.
They just removed the name, but it’s the same thing.
Typical Blizzard at this point. “We heard you and removed Pathfinder. You can unlock flying by doing several arbitrary tasks that take a predetermined amount of time, but it is no longer called Pathfinder. Aren’t you grateful?”
6 of one, half dozen of the other.

mildly annoying: yes, to some.
a big deal: no.

pretty easy if you rigorously participate in the required grind.

the only part that’s not available right now is the campaign quests that aren’t out yet.

I’m not anti-flight by any means, but having a few weeks without people trivializing the content is pretty nice. I spent 30 minutes with a group last night working together to kill the flying rare. The concept is easy of just getting everyone to door of shadows up, but it was still a lot of fun and I’m glad it was able to be a part of it.

We’re going to sit on 9.2 unti 2023. It’s fine to have a month without flight.

I mean I guess? The platforming in WoW isn’t great.

I’ve also never seen so many Venthyr. Pretty sure it isn’t a coincidence.

I hate that you need to kill EVERY rare in the zone too yet they all die long before you even get close.

I don’t see any grind associated with unlocking it. You explore, collect 5 treasures, read the pages, kill 10 rares, do 3 of the non-campaign quests and complete the campaign chapters.

Just listing it seems like a lot, but it really isn’t and you have 4 weeks to do it.

I’m not trying to dismiss your feelings on this or anything, just didn’t know if you knew what was actually required.
