hi im just curious will we ever be able to fly with our old flying mounts in dragonisle? i mean fly like how old regular flying mount functions, not like those dragon mounts.
i really just wanna be able to do normal flying in dragonisle so i can go grab a coffee or pee when i auto fly to a point i wanna get to
This is already possible but requires the pathfinder achievement. Basically just complete the main storyline.

You can, as of a few patches ago. You need to complete Dragon Isles Pathfinder to unlock it account wide. The requirements for that achievement are completing the Dragon Isles campaign and exploring all DF zones (including Zaralek and Emerald Dream) as far as I know.
People prefer the speed of dragonriding most of the time, it is quicker in terms of getting places. I use my old flying mounts quite frequently to sit in the air or other random things

Why would they? Old flight is terrible and slow.
I use the OG flying more than the speed of light one lol

But then you have the players who say “but I might see something I’ve seen 104384348 times and want to stop and check it out so I need to be flying myself.”
Then you haven’t been paying much attention. 
There’s still players using static flying. Even I use it depending on my mood or how I’m feeling.

You don’t see it very much for two reasons.
More people use dragon riding for travel because it’s faster for traveling long distances.
When you’re dragon riding you’ll often fly past people using TBC flying faster than the game loads them onto your screen or at a higher altitude than a TBC flyer would typically be flying.
Oh they have been paying attention— to the forums. It’s a troll thread to get people riled up over flying again.
The line between trolls and people with bad takes gets blurrier by the day. I lose track so easily unless they are memorable in some way, for better or worse. Clearly the OP isn’t memorable.
Dragon riding makes me physically ill. So when I play I do use a combination of flight paths and my other flying mounts. I eventually get to where I need to be.
I frequently use flight paths for this exact reason.
If you look around Valdrakken, you can see at least 20% of players on static flying mounts. Same with people doing the soup event.
A lot of druids still use their flight forms when they do not need to be going mach 10.

I exclusively use regular flying in the Dragon Isles as I am a klutz and suffer from motion sickness in that order. My dragon flying mounts are enjoying their time to recuperate after far too many collisions with things bigger than them.
precision landings to gather. That is my reason for using the regular flying mounts.
