I just unlocked my flight at 60 and I forgot just how horrendously slow it feels. Let’s get a little speed increase for level 60 flying, pretty please!?
Feels like I’m flying through tar lol

Oof, don’t play TBC Classic when it releases then.
there’s no such thing planned.
Not sure why they put flying speeds behind such a steep price. It’s not like they sell go- Oh. Feelsbad.
No plans to play classic at all so I’m good there lol
Hahahahaahahhahahahahahaahhaha
Gives you incentive to keep leveling.
Flying is your reward after all.
I think you mean swimming though tar, but i digress.
Just stick to the ground for a while, farm the gold, save up and bam, you can get the speed of superman in about an hour or so. 10K for both speed increases, or 5k for one isn’t a bank breaker.
And plus, the leveling speed is fast enough to get at level 80 at max, 70 at minimum or less to buy a speed boost. And in Shadowlands with the 60-70% increase, you might be blitzing though. You’ll be fine.
Edit: i double checked, i’ve edited the prices accordingly.
The old flying speed was 60% is what he’s saying. They’ve already bumped it up to 150. It’s still faster than your ground mount and already makes the 280 much less of an investment like it used to be. I remember getting my epic flying the first time and it was worth every copper. Now whIle leveling half the time I forget to buy the upgrade even when I’ve got the gold because the difference is so small.
Most of the time I figure it out when I open the general tab on my spellbook for some reason and see the max flight icon greyed out and think, wait, I don’t have that unlocked on this toon? I then promptly go buy it.
I can remember back in the day looking longingly at those fast flyers, knowing I could never afford it. Now it’s not even question if I get it. I can remember when I finally did get it and I could learn that blue protodrake I got from Utguard that had been sitting in my bags for a year…
