Flying in WOD

WOD is basically the only expansion of WOW that I barely touched.

It’s a painful reminder every time I enter Draenor when I mount up and can’t fly!

is pathfinder in WOD painful to complete? Will it take forever? Should I just skip it?

it does suck… but its decently easy in that youll 1 shot everything. if you got lots of gold on hand, you can make the rep grind much easier and buy Legion Medallions off the AH for 1k rep for every faction (1.2k with trading post buff in garrison).

i just got mine at the end of March earlier this year, didnt buy medallions, just did the dailies i could.

It took about 2 weeks after you unlocked Tenaan forest, which requires lv3 garrison.

Loremaster part is also annoying.

Some chests are tricky to pick up.

But you should be able to get around 10 mounts during the process, including the stable ones of course.

Just skip it. skip Legion too.
Just dungeon run thru both of them. both were good content but if you play this PF game of blizzards they’ll never learn a lesson.
they actually seem to believe that because we FORCE ourselves to suffer thru their content to get something we want, that they must be doing a good job when nothing could be further from the truth.

I just hated WOD so much! So SO SO Much. Mostly because of the Garrisons. For whatever reason, I just hated the whole farmville feeling, and how it felt so… lonely? Just reading that I’ll need to level up my garrison and stuff makes me dread even attempting pathfinder.

Not to mention, I dont think I even have my hearthstone to my garrison anymore? Is there a way to get a new one? Or even find my garrison again?

Your’re telling a player to skip content, just to spite Blizzard?

Bad advice given that Legion was a well received xpac.

Just get in there OP and knock it out, Wod will take a few weeks, not sure about Legion, I forget but if you have the right mindset it’s not that bad at all.

Good luck!

Stack up garrison exp potions (the only thing you should blow your resources on) and run around and do all the bonus areas, that should get you most of the way through WOD, if you still want to travel faster though the feather is easy to get and works.
If you are just unlocking it at max level though for the fun of it there really is no point.

I actually really loved Legion.

It’s probably my favorite expansion after wrath. I felt so invested in the happenings in the game, all the rep grinding and quests didn’t feel like a chore at all.

I’m sure not everyone shares that sentiment, but for me atleast it was a fun time, and never did I feel like my time was being wasted, unlike WOD.

Use an addon to find the chests and treasures. It will make your life so much easier. I used Handy Notes.

Once had flying, WoD can be blown through within ~4 hours, without dungeons and such.
Just wait for invasion for Legion.

At least you won’t have to do World quest in Draenor, just daily quest in Tanaan Jungle. Unfortunately one of the faction only offer one daily quest a day.

Hand of the Prophet/Vol’jin’s Headhunters: easy since you will be doing them for the oil for your garrison naval mission, you will get a couple a day.

Order of the Awakened: This the annoying one :frowning: you can only do one quest a day for 1500 or something reputation.

Saberstalkers: One weekly for 3500 reputation and after that you farm the mobs since they give rep per kill, rare elite that wander around Fang’rila give 500 reputation.

If you get an item called Medallion of the Legion, using it give 1000 reputation to all 3 faction, but it a rare drop from 4 rare elite that wander around in the jungle the jungle

It takes roughly two weeks with a minimal of 30 minutes a day.

It’s worth doing. With flying WOD becomes the fastest 10 levels in the game while leveling an alt. Yes I’d say it’s even faster than 10-20.

I don’t recommend this because once you unlock flying in WoD, when you run more alts through content, flying around opening treasures gives you tons of xp and insane leveling speed. A lot faster than doing dungeons.

This.

WOD and Legion both are incredibly fast if you quest.

Horrible advice! If no one does path finder, Blizz will go “See! We were right, no one really wants flight!” and then we lose it all over again and probably get something worse than what we got now!

do PF, but keep telling them what and why you dont like it and hopefully they will make something better… i doubt it, this is Blizz afterall, but dont give them a reason to take away flight again.

On getting 100 chest try to find some in guild or friend that has it wod flying or hit me up and can knock that out in 10 min the rest is just a rep grind and doing storyline

I just got WoD flying maybe 5 or 6 months ago. I didn’t mind the garrison as much as I just found the zones pretty boring and the dailies annoying, so I put it off for a very long time.

Once I put my mind to it and bought a handful of medallions it wasn’t too horrible.

Loved Legion though, most of the zones, the quests etc and I know it’s been made slightly easier then when it was current. My biggest annoyance is trying to get some of the class mounts now, not horrible, just annoying.
