Flying in old content?

I finally reached 60 and have a quest where I have to visit a Battle for Azeroth site and turn in a quest. I haven’t played since WoD where I could fly. I leveled up in Draenor until I started Shadowlands content. When I took a portal to BFA, I noticed I couldn’t fly on a mount and thought maybe I had to go to a trainer to learn another skill for flight but nothing popped up. Do I have to go back to the old content and do quests if I want to learn flying in those expansions? In this case Legion and Battle for Azeroth.

In WoD they introduced “Pathfinder” achievements where in order to fly you had to complete the Pathfinder achievement for the expac. As of Shadowlands, they removed the need for those achievements from WoD and Legion, but for BfA you still need to complete the achievements.

Yeah kinda sucks for those of us who just came back and haven’t made a ton of progress on it. That being said I have heard they will be removing the pathfinder requirement for bfa flying with the next major content patch. Not sure if that’s true or not. Knowing my luck I will go back and do pathfinder only for them to remove it the next day.

Edit: does anyone know if there is still a rep requirement for the achievements. I can’t seem to find an answer, but my Google fu is week.

They said they will be doing something different for shadowlands, but no news yet on what it’ll be.

I was asking for th bfa pathfinder 1 & 2. I know they removed rep for the alliance but can’t find anything about rep for flying.

Yeah need rustbolt resistance + ankoan factions revered.
