I read that flying in all old world content would be included with the purchase of flying come Dragonflight 10.0. Well we are in 10.0, my friend has decided to try WoW out and he’s enjoying the leveling, only to purchase flying and go back to Kul Tiras and not fly. He immediately logged off. So I am trying to get some answers as to what is going on if anyone knows?
If that got him to log off, he may not be built for WoW lol.
Obvious 3 post troll.
Post that source
I am having trouble posting the link. How do I do that?
Put it between two back ticks. (``)
Don’t know if you’re trolling, because a new player in BfA is too low a level to fly. However, I’m sure it hasn’t brought more new players into the game knowing they won’t be able to fly until completing a massive amount of end game, even though other levelers are flying around them.

I don’t trust that source. The entire article is based on a reddit post that has been deleted.
Source was deleted and doesn’t seem flying is removed in BFA
Blizzard would have announced it if it was true.
I agree. We would have heard of this, since the article was posted October 13. I think the entire article was based on a hoax that the publication didn’t check out.
Ok thanks guys. Wasn’t sure what was going on. They really need to make the new player experience better. Exile’s reach is good and it’s a good idea streamlining them to one expansion but there’s so much that my friend has had to ask me. Not being able to fly also makes it seem like it isn’t a core mechanic of the game when it’s really fun. Thanks all!
why?
I nearly quit when I hit WoD the first time and found out about pathfinder trash
Ion will be able to justify keeping pathfinder garbage in BFA by just keeping it as some joke starting zone…EVEN THOUGH the REST of the game either has flight free now…or its so easy to get in SLs as to make it POINTLESS now.
Ion…just being Ion…as usual.
So your skin is slightly thicker than theirs
So there is this article on Icy-Veins but they don’t use a source for anything so I am HIGHLY skeptical. But I would guess if Blizzard were to remove the requirements it wouldn’t be until the 28th.
Honestly, it got me to leave whilst jumping around trying MMO’s after getting severe burnout on XIV. I’m back again after a year to give it another shot. When game says “You now can fly”, and then you go somewhere, and suddenly don’t have flying and have no game feedback as to why you cannot fly, do you really blame people for disliking it?
Why can’t I fly game? Oh, I must once again rely on google? Rely on out of game resources as a new player to understand a basic fundamental part of the experience of the game? Or is this just a way Blizzard uses to try to get players to interact? “We on purpose made it bad to force players to engage and interact with other players.”
And even if you do figure out what you are meant to do to unlock flying, the routing in this game for a new player is near impossible, this game without addons is one of the most miserable questing experiences you can have on a game. Not because the world lore and mini side stories aren’t told in a decent way, actually it’s kinda good at that, but rather, you won’t know what quests are required to unlock stuff, or even what are core quests to the expansion’s story (and that’s before you get into the out of order cutscenes making the sequence of events incredibly confusing).
If the first thing you do in order to play a game is meant to be to install Addons, then the game’s new player experience is trash.
Before the level change I actually was trying to unlock flying in BfA and brute forced from 50-57 simply doing the flying requirements (this is with ~1000 XP per quest and needing ~280,000+ per level. I really would hope they change it just in general, cause you don’t need to have your neighbours love you or spend 50 hours mowing their lawns and doing the city council storyline to unlock “roads”, why do I need to do it in WoW?
Yes my friend also had no clue which were the main story quests in Tiragarde sound until I sent him the list. It’s just unacceptable.
I saw that the beta had flying in BFA. Blizzard probably forgot to turn it on. Hopefully next patch.
Nope, cannot fly with the new expansion. and there are heaps of scaling issues for leveling up, they should probably set the default new player zone to somewhere else.
