I’d pay 230k for each one of my toons to fly once I hit max level if that was an option.

I have no interest in Dragon Flying. If I have to learn it to progress in the zones then I will stop playing the expansion and no other level 60 I have will even go there. I did this with Shadowlands.

Took about as much time to rustle up the gold in BC/Wrath for flying as it does now to get 300k.

Are you in the beta because dragonriding is the lynchpin of everything about the expansion.
This flawed argument again. Yes, it would completely change the dynamic if everyone can fly and you choose not to versus noone being able to fly at all.
Sorry but you had the option to walk…not our fault you chose to fly.
People flying on normal mounts doesn’t take away all of the joy you derive from dragon riding

If you can’t understand that you are putting yourself at a disadvantage compared to others when everyone else can fly and you opt not to, I don’t know what to tell you anymore.
Wrong on some levels now…Cata we could fly cause of the different zone types you had to be able to fly or you wouldn’t get to any of the quests in Deepholm.
TBC and MoP you got flying at max level unless a druid for TBC and you got it at 68 with a special quest line.
WotLK you got flying at lvl 78 before getting too max level of 80 for that expansion…

I wouldn’t support it, this feels bad. First of all, flying being account-wide is cool. I like that. Second of all, this is too expensive. I already bought flying (several times on several characters) and I shouldn’t have to pay for it again unless they make the mounts faster. I already know how to fly.

Honestly, charging 200k-300k gold for flying now is kind of similar to charging 5k gold for flying in TBC…
I would support blizzard putting in flying but making us pay 200-300k gold.

I don’t disagree, but I farmed that gold already, and learned how to fly. I think flying should just continue being something we learned and know how to do. When I paid to learn how to fly, I paid it thinking that I would be able to fly forever … but that didn’t last long, lol
I think that if they wanted to do a new flying speed, like 350%, for 200k and give us our current unlocked speed for free, that would be fine.

Yeah, i definitely would like to just log on day one of a new expansion and be able to fly but, unfortunately, this is not how blizzard thinks.

I wonder if people who make statements like this even remember what the game used to be like. Go start up a new character on classic. It’s a slog compared to what we have today.

it definitely felt WAY better to play TBC classic with flying than it did to log onto shadowlands pre-9.2 and do WQs in revendreth with no flying…or even do dailies in the maw with no ground mount (this is the reason I just stopped playing the game until 9.2 was released).

you know dragon riding basically is flying if you know how to use it properly, hence there not being a need to actual flying in the dragon isles.

Who ever claimed that flying isn’t more efficient than walking? Adding instant teleport with a bookmark list of locations would be even more efficient. Doesn’t mean they should do it.
TBC and vanilla maps were well designed for those that use ground and flying mounts.
I can’t say the same for systemland maps.
Keep in mind even in TBC the old world did not have flying enabled not until Cata revamp came along.
It is gliding. People said the same thing with Aviann’as feather.
