Hi folks, I am still trying to work my way to flying: have completed my Kyrian covenant storyline; have Renown 55; completed Focusing the Eye; am doing dailies in Korthia; but I can not figure how to start the Chains of Domination achievement to work to flying. I’ve looked on WOWhead and YouTube, am now asking here… how do I get The Last Sigil? Tal-Galan is just standing there! Thanks ))
Are you 3/9 chapters for the second set of campaign quests? I think you may be able to just talk to the guy in Korthia? I’m not sure if you have to do a round of defeating the jailer’s minions. Sorry if this is not helpful! My friend was asking about this too and I thought 3/9 means you have flying but I think there’s another step

The full Chains of Domination achievement isn’t needed for flying. I only finished 4/9 chapters of the Chains of Domination quest line on my main. Icy veins has a guide for earning flight. The 4th chapter was hard to find the intro quest. I don’t remember how I found it and I’m not at my computer right now to check.

Thank you both for this. Here’s where I’m stuck: The Last Sigil is a requirement for Chains of Domination. (and to all the articles I read saying how ‘streamlined’ flying is in Shadowlands, a 15-part storyline required for one step in a 15-part storyline ain’t streamlined! At least make them trackable Achievements… ;p
The Last Sigil requires Vault of Secrets. Vault of Secrets starts at Tal-Galan in Korthia, I’ve been all over Korthia and still they just stand at the top of Keeper’s Respits offering the odd dailies. ANY idea how to activate this quest?

Did you complete your covenant campaign? Vault of Secrets doesn’t become available until you entirely complete your Covenant campaign and are at least 44 renown.

Are you still using the same covenant on the same toon that you completed the covenant campaign on? If you chose a different covenant then you will have to change back to the covenant you completed the campaign on.

Wha…? So now I have to complete the Jailer storyline AND my covenant storyline AND the Chains of Domination storyline, and The Last Sigil depends on all of the above? I loved the Legion class hall and the long-multi-part quest to fly, but at least I knew what part of the world I was supposed to be in! I’m getting a little… irritated ;p

Did you start back when Shadowlands was first released? If so you would have been doing these things as they came out.
It can be confusing if you start WOW, or come back to WOW, in the middle or near the end of a major release but those quests are designed to be done without flying.
Just go back and do them in order and it should work out OK.

That line’s only like 8 quests though, doesn’t take long. Honestly I had done literally none of it as I hated the grind to 60 in Shadowlands and quit playing it after dinging til I came back recently. Took me a few hours over a few days just doing it what I could while I had time to do it.
I also haven’t logged in since I unlocked it

nah you don’t have to do all that - I think just the covenant storyline completely and the first 3 chapters of chains of dominion. there might a something else but you don’t need to do the entire chains of domination and I am not sure what the jailer storyline is but doubtful about that too.
I just did threads of fate on my dk and I picked up a quest in Oribos shortly after I hit 60 to go to Korthia.
This is how my DK looks and I just picked up that quest in Oribos to go to Korthia for the first time. You can get to Korthia without that quest but you need the quest to start the questlines - maybe that is what happened? Of course I already have flying but if you finished the campaign you might be near the same point.

Another requirement, I believe, is doing the “Help a Covenant Assault” quest.

could be it is hard to remember first time versus all the skips,my dk gets that Korthia awaits quest which OP can’t start without doing an assault. I think the assault comes after because I have that sitting in my warlocks quest log who already went to Korthia.
Actually OP is farther along - maybe he does have to do the assault even though it doesn’t appear as part of the campaign.

I was offered Shaping Fate and Vault of Secrets simultaneously, however I had to complete Focusing the Eye to unlock them.

How is it possible that there are still steps needed to unlock flying. It should just be automatic.

too early to be automatic - they have been waiting 2 expansions to give it for free. Pretty sure you still have to earn it in BFA.
