Get rid of the rep grind, and the time gate, and Pathfinder would be fine.

I’ve always thought the pathfinder achievement is fine but part one should unlock part one zones on completion

Or, give us flight the way FFXIV does flight and that would be even better.

I don’t think so, the compromise was on their end. They we going to remove it, people outraged, they said, ok we will not remove it we will add pathfinding instead of removing it. They made the compromise.

yeah people keep saying to have it cost gold but they forget with all the influx of gold that has been given to us in the past 2 expansions they would have to make it cost hundreds of thousands of gold per character and most people wouldn’t be able to sustain that for more than maybe 2 characters, which would mean they’d have to give us even more gold from quests or missions in that expansion, which would make it cost even more the next expansion and so on forever until we’re all just casually throwing away a million gold to be able to fly on one character.
Blizzard says the reason for delayed flying is because they want you to see the content from the ground. Fine. That would be a compromise but the time gate makes it an undeniable punishment.

Exactly. It was “cheap” back before gold flowed like breath mints… and before the advent of tokens. It would be a hefty chunk of change now, and I have better uses for my gold.

Nope. Each zone requires you to quest through the entire story for that zone to get the quest-based aether currents.
No rep is required (since rep grinds are stupid.)

They couldn’t remove it or that decision would have tanked the game. What choice did they have? They knew it was one of the most unpopular decisions they ever made (only one worse was the real ID fiasco). So take it out and tank the game? No they like money so for not being able to take flying away they punished us with pathfinder but more so with the time gate.

Next expansion you can level up 10-50 in any zone. That means WoD and I am guessing legion as well.
Do you really think they are going to let lvl 10s fly in WoD and Legion - they should because of their stated reason for flying and because it was supposed to be account wide forever - but will they ?

I will happily do pathfinder to fly as opposed to the proposed option of no flight at all in WOD
I don’t mind working for something desirable

didn’t think of that, if that’s the case blizzard should just sell flying for specific expansions per character on the shop for real world money
