But why?
In DF we can flight from the beginning of the expansion.
Flight whistle was only used for the times where we couldn’t fly
I thought they said on one of the interviews that the fly whistle is coming back as an upgrade in the dragon raiding skill tree or whatever form of progression it has
If you didn’t use the flight whistle after unlocking flight in Legion and BFA I’m sorry to say you were doing it wrong.
Fast travel to the nearest FP was one of, if not, the best QoL features added to WoW in the last decade.
You are correct. They indeed said that.
Where?
If they’re going to release bits and pieces across dozens of interviews with dozens of people, then we’re not going to get the whole picture.
They could add a really cool animation to the flight whistle in Dragonflight too.
Imagine: Your character is just chillin’ after a second of using it - next thing you know a Dragon swiftly swoops pass your screen & your character is gone. Then your character ‘wakes up’ at the closest flight master.
That might have to do with where you read. I brought it up in a thread about new players on the CC (and on GD), and also about the new Dragonflight zones.
Agreed. We definitely need this back.
Especially if they’re removing flying
It’s certainly needed. Shadowlands is so annoying with the sparsely distributed flightpath points and no way to just instantly port to them like in expansions with more evenly distributed flightpaths.
Bastion is particularly bad with flightpath points, where the flightpaths are basically almost never near anywhere you need to be.
Is not against this, but with dragon flying, do you think there will be any flight paths?

Seriously. Stop it. You’re a pest.
I miss the whistle and hated that they removed it in sl.
I want to say it was the hazlenutty one. But But it was described as a “back to town” thing.
