For Wotlk Classic
So I dced mid flight on the griffon you summon, when I reconnected I fell and tried to run back to the keep, all the while being attacked by a ghoul that was both invisible and reaggrod after using feign death. No npcs spawned in the keep, and I died from falling after moving a few more feet on my mount. I am now in a permanent loop of dying, respawning, aggroing the ghoul, and dying. Cannot hearth, cannot outdistance the aggro. Ran all the way to dragonblight and still had the ghoul attacking me.
I think the game is behaving as tho I am at the exact point where I dced permanently, and no matter where I move it assumes I’m still just standing still in that place. I put in for a stuck character, hopefully that resolves it

Quick update, I managed to rez my pet and have it take aggro. Hearthing fixed the issue
I just ran into the same problem. The only way I could get the game working again was to exit the game, then in the launcher, open the cog next to the Play button and select scan and repair. Ater that it allowed me to log back into a working game.
I had the same problem I had to bubble myself as a pally and hearted back to Shattrath because an invisible mob was constantly attacking me.

Same problem. The only difference was that the resurrect button would not work. The only way to resurrect was at the graveyard for a durability loss. Once I resurrected there, mobs would attack from infinite range and kill me again.
Edit: Ran a “scan and fix” from the client. Logged back in and it happened again.

Guildy came to rez me.
My map position shown to party member was very far off.
Had to guide them to where I was actually.
I personally couldn’t see my body so I was scared they might not be able to rez, but they could see it and rez me.
Then when I started making my way away from this place, there were no monsters or NPC back up to Wintergarde.
I also had the invisible monster attacking me, but could heal through it (fun for non healing classes I guess…)
I shadowmeld to get out of combat, and logged out.
When I came back I was back to where I died in the first place, the monster attacking me was there but not invisible this time.
My duo ran to give me a portal so we move out of this buggy mess, and couldn’t even see the monsters attacking me.
Guess I’ll wait for these quests, hopefully it gets fixed.
Try to pass the word around, not to pick up citizens while on speed boost effect, meanwhile
Exactly the same thing happened to me. I put in a ticket after the 3rd death trying to get out of the area. The last reply suggested I reset my UI !!. As in rename WTF, AddOn, and one more folder, then get reboot and start all of those things again. And, of course, no reimburse for time or gold lost in the process.
what is the solution about this? happens to me like 3 times

I am also having this problem, sometimes I can pick up 1 or 2 people before it disconnects me. I’ve tried disabling all my add-ons. Sometimes if I rez with the Spirit Healer and not die again by invisible mobs, I can heath out but nothing after that works.
Need to Exit and re-start my computer to get it to work again
Same issue today. Died and couldn’t res. Had to accept res sickness, then died again, showing my body taking damage way far away. Finally got out of combat and hearthed. GG Blizz.
