I’ve been noticing that when I try to shift into Moonkin Form from Flight Form while I am in combat I am instead shifted into the ground version of Travel form. This is very annoying as it occurs quite often while world questing as a balance druid. I did some testing to try to figure out what was going on and this is what I’ve found.
Firstly, the interface option “Auto Dismount in Flight” is enabled.
- Be a druid in the flying version of Travel Form (Flight Form)
- Be in combat
- Try to cast Moonkin Form, Sunfire, Swiftmend, Remove Corruption, or almost any other spell
- Instead of casting that spell you are shifted into the ground version of Travel Form and the error text “You are in shapeshift form” appears.
- If you stay in this travel form, leave combat and then try to cast a spell you will instead shift back into Flight Form. (???)
The only spells that I have found to actually work as intended when cast from flight form in combat are Moonfire, Bear Form, Cat Form and Dash. When out of combat every spell works as intended.
This is an incredibly frustrating bug and I hope it is fixed soon.
