I’ve noticed today that the trees in Zandalar will flicker, specifically the trunks and tops will (independently of each other) flicker to be brighter and darker.
This is on a Nvidia GPU (I’d have to check the model) and the problem seemed to be fixed by lowering and then re-setting the graphics to how they were before when this started happening.
Just saw this today. I never played BfA, so I was unsure if this was a bug in the game or my GPU failing. I don’t get any other artifacts, so I’m guessing it’s a shader bug.
One of potentially two bugs is in play here, both of which require 3rd party tools to fix (or an update from NVidia).
The original issue from last year was likely the result of MSAA in tandem with Alpha Testing. Turning off Multisample Alpha-Test in the Advanced options should fix it, or switching to a different AA technique. You can also change the alpha sampling method using something like the NVIDIA Profile Inspector and it can clear it up as well.
More recently, NVidia drivers from the Cyberpunk Game Ready driver onward are missing a setting from their WoW profile. There’s a rather lengthy discussion about it here: [Main thread] Nvidia 460.xx driver flickering
