I have an graphical issue on retail, when i fish, when I cast fishing and after it ends, the screen would flicker black once, also noticed that druid’s Efflorescence would flicker, disappearing and appearing.
Already tried the ui reset, and im on the lastest drivers for the 5700 xt gpu, but the issue persists
I’ve been having this same issue since 8.2.5 release. Screen flickers when looting/casting spells. Its random times and random characters. Just had it in Nazjatar while fighting soundless, screen flickers from a darker contrast to a lighter one. Have reinstalled wow/ui reset, latest drivers. Only happens in wow.

I am sorry to hear you’re experiencing this flickering issue… we have been investigating it and believe we have located the cause, and are working to fix it as soon as possible.

I am also getting flickering when fishing!
A week later and still no update on this garbage.
I am also having this issue, I noticed it while fishing but then it seemed to do a small flicker every time I went to cast something. I can’t figure it out.
I noticed the WoW BFA client just got an update (10/10/19) and I was hoping it was a fix, but it’s still happening.
I was flying around doing the bee mount stuff and I noticed it happening on my Hunter when in combat around the Meadery, but it didn’t seem to do it elsewhere. I’m getting a very quick full screen flash.
This happens to me too in nazjatar. Hunter as well. Went to broken shore and killed raptors in zuldazar. No flickering there.
This is also happening to me while fishing in the Darkmoon Faire.

The flickering issues we were investigating were actually bound to the loading screens and unrelated to the issues you were reporting. Sorry for the confusion! The loading screen flickering should be resolved now.
If you’re already onthe latest drivers for your graphics card - does your monitor use adaptive syncing such as GSync/Freesync? If so, can you disable this technology and see if the flickering disappears?
My monitor uses freesync (though called gsync compatibility), and it still happens on the loading screen. Without it, of course, there is no flicker.
My screen flashing is not a brightness thing like the loading screens. It’s a full screen flash, very quick. I am running a gsync panel and never had a problem in WoW before 8.2.5. In fact, I play classic and it doesn’t do it there. I tried many different nVidia drivers, even ones from July. It still does it. The best example of it was a guy who posted a youtube video of his Tauren Druid shape shifting and it was doing it.
I have the exact same issue while mining, flying, casting or transmogging.
Been having the same screen flickering issue since 8.2.5. Seems to only happen within Nazjatar and Eternal Palace.
I have it in the halls of valor when I change my weapon. Nvidia gtx1660ti, gsync monitor, latest drivers.
Reposting this question. Anybody seeing disabling GSync/Freesync fixing the problem?
I have no GSync/Freesync monitor, GTX1060, and have been having flickering issues at random times such as combat within large raid groups, changing gear in certain areas, and extremely rarely outside of these particular standards. This only started after the most recent GeForce update, however.

Flickering remains regardless of Gysnc being disabled/enabled.

im very sad that this annoying issue has not been solved yet. it almost 2 week after 8.2.5 came out, these flicking gives me an headache, its become unplayable for me.
this problem is with the game not the drivers or the monitors, everything worked fine before the update.
please give us an ETA when this issues would be solved
i also know what ability of mine as a hunter is causing this use ,
BM hunter, talent name :- stomp
this talents lets the pet to stomp the ground when attacking the enemy causing lightning effects , which causes the flicker in my screen.

Happening to me too, when casting certain abilities, right clicking mobs sometimes, even equipping and unequipping gear. I’ve tested it on my main install, on the 8.3 PTR, and even on a flash drive that I have WoW installed on for when I’m not at home. Happens on all of them, so its not any addon or ingame setting.
Edit: I’m not a technical person in any way but it seems to me it happens when the game tries making certain sounds, regardless of if sound is enabled or not. The flickering kind of happens on the login screen which has lots of loud music and when I click on something, which causes a noise, and equipping gear and certain combat abilities, etc.
