Flawed Design Philosophy

Nerfing everyone’s current characters in an effort to chase future balance feels awful and will push players away.

It never feels good to log in after a patch and find your class significantly weakened because of the performance of a future set that you cant even acquire yet.

Many players will not even make it to t4 after logging in next Tuesday and finding their character feels worse and less enjoyable to play.

Player enjoyment > class balance

Yeah this is really hard to watch to be honest. When existing gear and rotations get broken/nerfed to nothing INSTEAD of re-balancing the gear/bonuses on the horizon it feels bad.

Like retconning in storytelling, it feels like an uninspired “Ctrl + Z” on a state of the game people were already enjoying. Extremely hubristic from a creative/design perspective, in my opinion.

After seeing how other classes are reacting to the changes they are facing I truly and honestly think Blizz should delay the patch by a week to collect more feedback and make edits to the changes. I am seeing way too much negativity going into the final phase. This should be a celebration of SOD and all the cool things we can do now. Instead we are on the forums complaining about balance changes.

Yup, feels like a big rug pull. Why build on playstyles/specs since MC that players have come to enjoy only to drastically change things in what should be really fun “culmination” of SOD in P8. If these changes stick (especially 4p T2 for ret) idk how long I’ll be sticking around. Seriously such a bummer.
