the stairs down to the last boss of waycrest are painful. the halls are painful. im licking walls.
anything that could emit light would be rad.

I love light source weapons/off-hand items and wish someone would compile a list of all of them. The Staff of Metanoia is one that was made obtainable again just recently but getting one of the other color variants (e.g., Soulkeeper, Staff of Hale Magefire) is probably easier.
There’s an off-hand lamp that you can get from a questline in Hellfire Peninsula that emits a LOT of light. It’s called the Deep Core Lantern. There’s an off-hand called Beacon of Hope that you can buy off the AH that also emits a lot of light, but if it’s too expensive there are multiple items with the same model available from like SFK, etc.

The Elemental Mage Staff emits the most light of anything I’ve seen in game; I would try that if you can find a cheap one in the AH.

Should have seen the original EverQuest back in the day. If one was a human you were sol when it was nighttime.
