Flash Pellets - the Quest reward for Sharing the Land has a tool tip saying
Ammo Bullet
Adds 2 damage per second
but I cannot use them. Trying to drop them in the paper doll ammo slot just does not work.
The workaround for me (although I haven’t tested with this specific item) was to drop it directly on top of the weapon; I haven’t been able to interact with the paper doll ammo slot with any ammo. Also, Flash Pellets vendor for significantly more than conventional ammo so I never considered actually using them.

Thank you. I have sold them by now 
will test the other way on my next Hunter. +2 dam means something on low level.
