I love Classic and am a strong opponent to changes but the reality is the game is different in so many ways compared to the original.
I love PvP on my Feral Druid. However, Flash Bombs have to be the worst possible thing I can face as a feral druid in PvP. Nothing breaks the fear and generally, when I get caught with it, it is while in cat form which means a very quick death.
Oh and the real kicker? Just to add insult to injury… it has a 20 second cool down… so if i manage to actually survive… I get to experience the wonderfulness of being flash bombed again.
I know… I play a meme spec… but when this dumb flash bomb is not used against me, I fair pretty well against all classes.
I truly wish Engineering wasn’t a thing… I hated it back in the original WoW and I hate it even more in this iteration because it’s the only way to compete.
I know it won’t get changed but ah well just felt like posting about my frustration with this horribly OP flash bomb.

Just shift out of it like you would a scare beast/hibernate, dealing with beast targeted items is a part of being a druid.

Feral isnt for pvp. Try pvping with an actual pvp spec.

thank you. I deserved to be called a moron for I was indeed mistaken about the cool down.
one more thing I forgot to mention, it is instant cast so you can throw that bad boy on the run. And, you can NOT shift into human form to break it. 90% of the time the enemy laughs and spits on me while they are eating me alive cause I am stuck in a 10 second fear that I can’t break.

You can shift before it hits you, like a hibernate/scare beast cast. If you get hit before you shift, no it won’t break ofc.

It cost 1g to flash bomb you. I’m not Mr. Money bags who can just go around throwing gold at silly bears.

Deep feral is arguably not a PVP spec.

If one was a 0/51/0 Fire Mage wearing 5/8 Magisters, a Feral Druid might be kinda scary.

If this were any other class all of you would change your tune really quick. Fact is, feral Druids aren’t the only ones that use forms in PvP. Every Druid spec uses forms, and the fact that there’s a single grenade specific to targeting one class is stupid.

It also hits shaman in ghost wolf.
Also, welcome to classic. Bonkers items exist.

Ghost wolf is very different than functional forms that are actually mandatory parts of PvP performance.
You’re not wrong. But it hits several classic. Not just druids.
The fact an engineer with goggles will always see me first in stealth is also stupid. But this is classic.
Yea, but that’s different as well, because once you open on him, he can’t equip those until he leaves combat. Which means he has to have them on, sacrificing stats and also just expecting to be attacked by you. Flash grenade is an item with a short cool down, that can be used in classic, and requires no sacrifice in gear or preparation to use.

The point being…stupidly strong items exist in this game. Skull of Impending Doom, Nifty Stopwatch, the Spell Reflectors. Faps/Laps/Lips etc.
All of these items and more are game breaking in their own right and you should expect each and everyone one of these to be used. These obnoxiously powerful items are part of the core Vanilla experience.

I am a druid and I’m still not changing my tune. Most druids arent going to encounter this as the actual pvp spec uses forms sparingly, with the exception of WSG flag running.
You dont go into pvp specced prot on a warrior and then complain that everyone ignores you. Shouldn’t complain about being the wrong spec in druid pvp either.
I mean I get it, but none of those are comparable. It would be like giving every class a clicky that cast faerie Fire and immunity to blind. Rogues would be raising hell. I’m not saying flash bombs should be removed, but this dude has every reason to complain, and acting like “git Gud” is answer is stupid.
Yeah, those lip things are REALLY fun for warriors. The answer IS git gud because he can shift out before it hits him, no matter what.

“Just shift out before it hits.”
Thing is instant-cast, most players don’t have AWC-level reflexes. Is everyone on here a rank 1 PvPer and Mensa member?

I mean, considering you can have a weak aura the flashes your screen 10 different colors and blares airhorns at you whenever one is cast, it can’t be that difficult.
