Flamelash was first server to die, Skeram is next

What the heck do you people expect blizzard to do ? Create alliance for you horde to kill ? Kill horde for alliance ?

There was faction imbalance on almost all of the retail PvP servers for 10 plus years and blizzard never did a thing to fix that.

I rarely PvP. I’m also on a relatively balanced server, so I’m not having any of the issues being addressed on the forums. I can however see how Blizzards complete neglect of care for Classic has allowed the populations to be so skewed, it’s relatively impossible for a lot of players to continue levelling to 60. A lot of them made a mistake by choosing a PvP server, and they admit that, however if the majority of these players knew what it would be like, and the permanency of their realm choice, they would have chosen more carefully.

Agreed! I’m also on Whitemane and having a blast already. Anyone feel free to message me to get a bit of a headstart (I’m still saving for my epic mount, but I can throw a couple bags your way!).

See you on the battlefield!

A lot of the complaints are coming from people who could have transferred off the servers for free.

There is no permanency of choice, there is nothing stopping them from starting on another server and/or waiting for a paid transfer service.

And I have no idea what you expect blizzard to do about them not knowing what they were going to get. It really shouldn’t be taking anyone by surprise what is happening if they had played on PvP servers in retail.

lol at this too - again we are back to what the heck do you expect blizzard to do - micro manage the populations when the major problem was the queue times.

In retail the majority of players on PvP servers were horde - blizzard can’t create more alliance players out of thin air.

You’re completely taking my comment out of context. The character you make on that realm (other than free transfers to dead servers), they are, for now, stuck there until paid transfers. That sounds relatively permanent to me, until such time that Blizzard announces paid transfers are coming. Which they have not.

Well, not completely bloating the server populations is a great start. Failing that, again, paid transfers. Solves the problem.

Quote where anyone has asked for that?

I’m astonished at the complete and utter ignorance and arrogance of players who are not affected by these issues who think they get a say in how other people get to play the game. They’re not telling horde to [Censored] off from their server, they’re asking to get off the server themselves. It has no affect on you whatsoever, other than you’ll have less people to grief… but we can’t allow that now, can we?

It is easy. If you want paid transfers, just ask for paid transfers. Blizzard will give them to people. Why cloud the issue with a bunch of irrelevant garbage then which is what most of these threads do.

OP hasn’t mentioned a paid transfer as a solution even once.

Agreed, they haven’t asked for it. I guess I was talking in a more general sense, rather than this guy specifically.

If it is any consolation to you, PvP happened to horde on Earthfury PvP server. You know what? I would like to get more horde. One or two big guilds would be perfect. Our (alliance) success has not been seen on any other server. We came back from a 3H:1A ratio early on when many alliance left in the first couple weeks of the server starting out. Alliance now slightly outnumbers horde, but the recent transfers has largely been players seeking refuge. Not PvP ready, but ready to farm gold and mats. They are not contributing to the war effort. Conversely, they are depressing AH prices, and competing for resources against the ones who are doing their part to keep alliance strong. Another 100-200 horde would be fantastic. It would help put pressure on the weaklings clogging the machine. They will certainly shy from that pressure, which should allow prices to go up again.

Did you get hit with the stupid stick today?

Not true at all actually. As someone who’s played alliance most of the people ive played with are older with jobs and families. Which is why we can only spend maybe an hour or 2 every other day playing and don’t have the time to get griefed by a bunch of fat sweaty try-hard kids like yourself that spend 6-12 hours a day standing around camping instances and fp, we have lives.

Says the guys that intentionally made a characters for “better pvp racials” knowing you’d be on a totally lopsided server skewed to your favors. Then when given the chance to get a free transfer and leave so you don’t have to sit in a queue and also go to a more balanced server, you guys chose to stay because ITS EZMODE and you don’t actually wanna try, you just wanna roll your fat faces on the keyboard. Btw, have fun opening the gates of AQ with no Alliance there to supply the war effort. I hope you never get in and Naxx is out before you Hordies even step foot in there, you deserve it.

I’m not Alliance so apparently not.

I play alliance on Fairbanks. Fairbanks I think differs in the fact that I am pretty sure alliance side has an abnormally high number of players with a very large amount of pvp experience to pretty high levels. If the right people show up in the same place, it’s going to take 3-4 times as many horde on this server for horde to do anything and horde will get camped mercilessly if that doesn’t happen.

What i see of people that have problems are expectations of playing as if it’s retail. They expect to have very little pvp experience, and wander around by themselves relatively unmolested. Which is unreasonable expectations and they are shocked when that cant be accomplished.

If you expect pve with a side of pvp at your discretion, phase 2 on a pvp server was the wrong place for you.

Frankly phase 2 has been one of the most fun times i have had in this game ever. In fact I have started feeling like something is wrong if there is a lul in the fighting. For me the pvp has exceeded my expectations.

From small guerilla groups wrecking wave after wave of horde to holding the instance side of BRD against with ten or so people against the massive horde onslaught. All of them trying to funnel through the doorway under the tomb only to die peeking through the door or better yet getting MC’d to us as they peek through the door. House fighting in Ironforge is going to be missed as well as the Menethil boat fights. It’s been non stop war and awesome. Whats going to feel weird is going back to the petri dish Vacuum of BG’s.

You “don’t have no sympathy”? So the double negative you put in there means you have sympathy after all, yes?

Do I sound like I have sympathy ? I will go correct my error though.

Sympathy won’t fix the problem at hand… no one gives a shi* if you have or do not have sympathy… People just want to be able to play the game.

Blizzard being the brain dead monkeys they are could not see the obvious outcome of allowing people on the out numbered faction to transfer off their server. Now we have servers that are 25% alliance / 75% horde all because blizzard could not use common sense for once.

I mean, they just listened to the forum cries of allowing players (on both factions) to avoid queue times just to log in. That is why they originally allowed transfers.

It would have been more stupid to prevent people from transferring off. And guess what when they put in paid transfers that ratio will go to 10% alliance/90% horde on some servers because it was like that in retail.

Blaming blizzard when you could have fixed your own problems doesn’t show much common sense either.

They should have never allowed a faction to transfer off a server when that faction was already 20% less than the other. You obviously have no ability to be open minded but rather just defend the fact the horde is great horde is the best.

I do agree server transfers were necessary, but when a server like Skeram was already 60% horde and 40% alliance, alliance should have never been able to transfer. Fixing my own problem would have meant transferring as well making the problem even worse.

Continue to be the awesome horde you are though!!! You are fantastic and great!

In other words, make them wait 6 hours just to log in?

This has nothing to do with PVP. I hate to tell you this OP, “You think you do, but you don’t” was actually true. No one wants to play a game that was made for people in 2004. It’s limited and the content will run out inside of 6 months. Enjoy what little time and content we have in this game and good luck.
