Destro as a whole could do with some tuning, but removing the pvp nerf on this tier bonus entirely was a mistake.
Yeah I don’t know how it went from a “dps loss” to 10-15% of their damage on average with a single change but whatever ball out

Aimed shot can only hit that hard in bgs, with berserker and saltwater potion, lone wolf, and all that dumb s.hit.
It can crit for upwards of 280k in arenas though.
Had it literally hit me that hard yesterday. That WASNT hyperbole. Not to mention sniper shot was hitting just as hard
I had a hunter in a bg use RF/AS and legit drop me from 100% to like 40% from that alone.
Two button clicks shouldnt be doing 600k. They’re absurdly overtuned atm
To be honest I think the best fix for this would be to nerf destro damage by 10% and flame rift damage by 20%. This gets rid of people playing destro and then what needs to happen is all affy damage increased by 35% across the board. This now also gets people away from demo and everyone wins because everyone will want an affy lock on their team!!!

aff doesn’t need more damage, it already does basically the most damage in the game

the answer to that was UA stacking
bad aff players want them pressing 123 tab 123 tab 123 tab to be ambiently unhealable and honestly all those players should be banned

the average aff player would absolutely say 35%
i know it was extremely unpopular because it went against the “rot u :3c” class fantasy
but i think there’s no realistic or healthy way to reward aff for pressing 123 tab 123 tab 123 tab with consistent damage that constantly forces healers to spend cds or lose
the “rot u :3c” class fantasy is inherently bad game design and unrealistic
Flame rift specifically is consistently like 8% dmg at the end of matches but that doesn’t factor in that it replaces one of the other procs from that button press
Rifts are happening more frequently by a lot bc of the other set bonus.
The flame one looks like it moves ppls health some when you get lucky and proc it but not enough to be demanding it be nerfed
The whole set bonus is poorly designed to begin with but it’s what we got
I think the biggest issue is that it was reduced by 50% and now that it does full damage people are freaking out about it. It’s viewed as this huge buff when in actuality it was just a change to make the 4 set viable in arena. So flame rift take the blame for loses now, It’s always something else that causes you to lose, it’s never your fault….
I didnt mind UA stacking at all. I think it would also be really cool if they allowed us to cast while running! Doesnt really make sense that we cant. I can run down the street and yell at someone in sign language irl there is no reason I cant run around in game casting ua or channeling drain life/drain soul!
I am still waiting on blizzard to make rets 2 and 4 piece viable in arena. A baby 8k final verdict (less damage than a rend tick) is an insult for a 4set bonus.
Seems that blizzard is totally arbitrary about what class/spec has good 2/4 sets in arena, which is totally bs.
Maybe they’ll figure out that the reason this season is ded mode was the reworks to shoe horn in the last tier 2/4 pieces, instead of making weaker ones and just building classes right like some were at launch. MMR/CR gate obv #1, but forcing us into borrowed power again really pissed people off when people realized what was up in ptr.
