It’s a flag of ownership, not a flag of good game or good duel. It’s to be used when you absolutely own someone, when you just bend them over with no chance of fighting back or escaping.

Never use it on a fair fight, the only time you use it is when you demolish the other player. Using it after a fair fight is weak, the flag was design to be as upsetting as possible, use it to rub your win right on their chin during a horrible loss that they are prolly mad about anyway.

I think I’d be more angry if my enemy BARELY squeezed out a win in a fair fight then planted the flag like they owned me.

Yeah, if I get ganked it’s like “okay, they were better or outgeared me, I accept that”.

If it’s like, they had 3% hp and I was one global from killing them and the pull that. Yeah, I’d be more bothered with the latter.
