Torghast: We’ve heard you loud and clear that you don’t enjoy Torghast so with that in mind we’re making a few changes: All repair bills increased by 10x, increase spawn rate of those “afk mobs” by 100x, continue to never drop loot of any kind and decreased the amount of soul ash you can obtain by half. This way you don’t feel compelled to go inside.
-
Dungeons: We’ve heard some of you dislike go-go-go in mythic plus so from now on loot will drop on the ground at the end of the dungeon, like in Diablo, and whomever gets it first keeps it as everything will be bind on pickup. We feel this will add to the missing fun factor.
-
Raids: We hear you loud and clear! Guild groups want master loot back. Therefore in patch 9.1 you can now use master loot on LFR and normal runs. Heroic and mythic will remain the same.
-
LFR: Okay we’ve heard you don’t like forced master loot in LFR therefore we’ve decided to make LFR how we always intended. As of patch 9.1 LFR will no longer drop loot, we’ll add a roller coaster so you can ride around while a video of players beating the bosses occurs. We think you’ll love the new tourist feature!
-
Loot Drops: Okay we’ve heard your concerns on loot dropping far too infrequently. So solve the issue we’re going to make sure that world quests drop 1000 pieces of loot per completion. It will always be a BIS piece for another class, though. So get your groups together and clean out your bags! For if you cannot loot all 1000 items at the SAME time you get no loot.
What are your sarcastic patch notes?

classic characters can no longer post on the retail forums
lol retail posters trying to get people sending them 1000 messages in the mail
You say that, but this was a serious issue for some people in WoD when they removed certain trinkets and tier sets from the loot tables in LFR to offset the problem that was happening with it in MoP where heroic (then Mythic) raiders were feeling obligated to go into LFR for certain trinkets because even LFR versions were such a ridiculous power boost.

That’s horrible they were forced to mingle with others…
Poor babies. I’m glad this got fixed.

It actually shouldn’t. It was added as a tourist mode so all players had the chance to see the story and content, it wasn’t added for any sort of progression.
You get better gear from your covenant campaign than from lfr so where’s that progression you want removed?

Doesn’t matter, the point still stands.
Nah it’s lying on the ground crying and bleeding
The point I mean.

We at Blizzard understand the concerns of the solo/casual player. Therefore from here on out, grouping will no longer be required in this MMORPG to get top gear. We are adding helpful bots to dungeons and raids that will take the place of other players so that you will never have to experience real life things like rejection.

Shadowlands was a late April Fool’s Day joke. Here’s the real expansion, it’s just like WOTLK.
Perhaps you weren’t around back when LFR was implemented so you might not be aware.

We’ve determined that many players find it incredibly frustrating to name toons so henceforth all toons shall be named some variation of Ion Hazzikostas Ionhazzikosta, Ionhazziqosta, Ionhazicosta, etc, are a few examples of the wonderful names your characters will be allowed to have.

It’s 2021 what do I care what happened back when lfr was implemented. Right now you get better gear from your covenant campaign.
Welp, welcome to WoW anyway. And people make claims that new people don’t actually come around.
I stopped playing in cata and came back last year. Thanks.
Demon Hunters can now be played by any race in the game with the exception of blood elf / night elf.
The Jailer has decided to pursue his millennia long passion of boating and has changed his name to the sailor.
When an arms warrior uses colossus smash on a colossal target it instantly smashes it into the ground, critting for 10 million damage.
Death Knights have created a petition against demon Hunters for claiming that they have sacrificed more despite the fact that DKs literally died. Sign it today to help the cause!
I can keep going. Cheers from Viking Santa!

Short of it all: LFR had the same loot tables as the raid, much like you see today just at a lower item level. So when it was added in 4.3 you had a lot of people who shouldn’t have ever been in LFR doing it because your tier set bonus could still work if it used LFR pieces, and getting a 4 set was very important for Dragon Soul, a boost that blew the loss of stats out of the water. Trinkets were also really good regardless of being from LFR until you could see better as a drop.
MoP the problem got worse, namely during Siege of Orgrimmar raid where Immerseus had a trinket that increased your secondaries by a percentage. So even the LFR version still was I want to say 5% increase to all secondaries and worth using until you had the same trinket but better.
Blizzard then in WoD made LFR have its own loot table with worse tier bonuses and didn’t have any of the trinkets, people who told us the LFR is only about seeing the content and not at all about loot suddenly got upset because they weren’t getting real gear. Blizzard changed it mostly in Legion, tried it again with Argus not dropping trinkets or the upgrade material to boost their item level (you got a trinket drop, or a token you used to up an existing one’s item level) and people kicked and screamed about that so they had to add it back in after a couple months when people learned that fact and started screeching about “catering to elitists.”

That’s not totally true. A big chunk of us opposed loot from ever dropping from LFR period.
