Don’t experience lag in any other game, don’t experience lag in the cities, but the second I join a 10 man bg everyone starts sliding everywhere and it becomes completely unplayable. What is worse is I maintain 30-40 ms WHILE this is going on which shouldn’t be possible. I can only imagine the complete and utter sh*t show wintergrasp is going to be when Blizzards servers can’t even handle 10 man bgs.

I was noticing this in the evenings prime time.
6:00 to around 10:30PM, before and after no issues.
And like you my internet is perfect, no issues.
It only happens in those times in the evenings.
This game runs on a patchwork of technology from 2004 all the way to 2022. People talk about ‘WoW 2’ from time to time. and that’s often seen as some sort of big storyline/playstyle reset. But even more just want it to be a massive overhaul of the engine from the ground up.
Most of the methods that WoW uses to do nearly anything are out dated and not used at all in the game development industry, from the file formats it uses internally, to how it loads anything to how client to server to client communication works.
The servers themselves are more than likely capable of doing far more than they are presently tasked with, but the game engine is this ancient decaying Frankenstein’s Monster, slowly falling apart as it shambles forward with a team of people spit-balling onto it to fill in the voids.
