This seemed fine at the start of the expansion but what War-Mode has degenerated into is:
Raid Groups camping WQ spawns, especially apparent for Champions of Azeroth
Raid Groups camping Flight Paths, even if they are your faction specific Flight Path
The damage/healing buff just needs to go. You are just promoting people doing their daily planet tasks to get mowed down harder by raid groups and to get camped by their toxic behavior. That or players with the buff should also have a damage taken increase as well, as they are almost all the time roaming in groups of players. 1v5 is not a viable scenario for anyone.
The 30% buff is poor to be benefiting the imbalanced faction, aka the Alliance will always have the 30% buff. The system you have currently that does not dynamically snapshot the ZONE players are in at the time is a very poor implementation. As Horde having 10% and having to deal with the above conditions, more and more people I know are just turning it off, similar to how the Alliance always just had it turned off before this patch.
Flight path areas need to be buffed with tougher Guards. I remember long ago that the Flight Master spawning the FP Guardians as well as Guards use to actually do something. Now they just sit there and do nothing or do little damage. Please install Booty Bay Bruisers into all Flight Path areas.
Nothing else really needs to be said. Realize half of these issues is due to player mentality wanting to re-farm people for 1 honor per kill but it’s ridiculous that it creates such a s show that I have to either turn it off to not deal with raid groups mowing over me or to do my WQ at 6AM.
You realize that this is literally what alliance has dealt with since day 1 of war mode and continue dealing with? I had war mode on until i sat at an azerite empowerment world quest for 20 minutes trying to get a tag because every time a group of 10-15 horde killed it and it respawned a new group of 10-15 horde were there to grab the tag and kill off alliance waiting.
It always HAS been raid groups camping things. Only reason why so many
are complaining now is because they no longer have a numbers advantage
everywhere.
I play with both factions and it’s like a swing going back and forth. Sometimes alliance is outnumbering horde and vice verse. People are people at the end of the day and they do some really silly things to each other.
It doesn’t matter what faction you’re on, it’s just easier to notice once you’re affected by it. Just take my word for it the grass is not greener on the other side.
You realize my post is not just concerning the Horde right?
Just “turning it off” is not a real solution to the problems of the system. It’s not a solution to raid groups mauling people, or the buff for these raid groups getting to maul people down harder, or the 30% buff not actually swapping factions dynamically to the zone’s current population.
Yes, it is. Literally NONE of the issues you mentioned in your OP would happen if you just had WM off. Having it on has a reward but also has a risk, you choose to run it by having it on.
Pointless: there is a PvP solution to this particular PvP problem or, you know, turn WM off.
I can see people here can only share the consensus of deal with things how they are not what they should be. The answer to fixing something is not to opt out but to actually fix the root of the problem.
That’s because there is no problem. It is working as intended. Are there frustrations of being on the losing side, sure but the system is working as intended.
So “Turn Off Warmode” is the only advice we can offer.
