Anyone else notice? A transmog with a hidden armor slot cannot be saved. If I hide an armor piece, the save button is still greyed out. If I change a slot and hide another slot, the hidden slot is not saved and reverts to no transmog when the saved appearance is selected.
I reported this bug over a month ago… Any word on a fix? 9.1.5?
So much of the saving flow is broken, I find myself always choosing “New Outfit” and naming it the same as a pre-existing outfit, and then choosing Overwrite. It is the only way I’ve found to avoid this kind of thing.
Apparently, when I try to overwrite an existing transmog that has the same name, nothing happens when I click yes to overwrite. Yet another bug lol
Try deleting the outfit, then saving it.
My guess is you have Better Transmog turned on. That addon broke so hard with 9.1. Turn it off.

This works to allow me to save a hidden armor piece. Good idea.
…but c’mon Blizz, can you just fix it? You’re so worried about players being offended that you’ve taken on this massive effort to change the most mundane things that have ZERO function in the game. Well, I’m offended that you don’t take legitimate bugs seriously. I’m paying all this money, I would think I could get a product that at least “works as intended”.
I hate this bug. Like, yeah, I get that there’s a workaround or two but still hate that the bug exists.
Huh, I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I bit the bullet and saved the helm that went with my set then I just manually back off it every time I apply new pieces. Will try the delete thing though.
