Fix...the...twink...brackets

Disregarded the rest of the post again lol. Think I may know why you have a problem with people who gear their character properly in pvp. Tunnelvision is not ftw.

A core tenet of an rpg is that character strength is determined by what gear that character has attained. Are we on the same level for that atleast?

Once again in defense.
Apparently players were repeatably GY camped before separation, and this has stopped since 8.1.5.

Maybe one of the survivors will chime in on this?

And yet Jugaa still relates his experiences both before and after patch 8.1.5, that GY stomps and landslide wins are still occuring in the same ratio.

What was it that I disregarded? The part about blaming people instead of looking for the direct cause? Do you know what the cause really is? Or the part about the twitter post? I wouldn’t know, don’t use twitter.

About people reporting that twinks were the cause of their apparent bad pvp experiences even when no twinks were present in that particular BG. Now once again.

People claimed the world was flat too. However, people on both sides have had slips in any anecdotal evidence. That’s why qualitative data requires sample sizes significantly higher than quantitative data.

How many times a day did you get GY camped Greyhide? pre separation?
Would you agree that is happening less or more with the current state of PVP Battlegrounds?

Pre Separation vs Live.

Refusal to answer a clear yes or no question normally indicates a troll.

Since you assert that you are neutral why not answer.

I wasn’t sure if you were asking a serious question or not. Just because someone doesn’t answer you immediately doesn’t make them a troll. Let’s not jump onto that bandwagon. That’s so 2006.

The “core tenet” of an RPG can vary. It’s not as cut/dry as you’re trying to make it sound.

Well this tenet is cut and dry. Should individual character strength be determined by gear?

You think it’s that cut/dry, I’ve already said it isn’t. Is gear a factor? Sure.

Ok so gear is a factor. We both agree. Should people without gear expect to do well in a pvp scenario?

Without gear as in lesser gear? No gear?

No gear in that slot. Or mail gear with agility as a plate user who uses strength.

At end-game, I don’t think anybody is really missing anything. And do you often see people who use mail gear for plate?

Why is it that every thread someone tries to red herring with “people not wearing gear/white gear”? Nobody except maybe one insane person has ever argued that white gear or not wearing gear should be acceptable.

The gear arguments have always been about gearing within reason not being enough to be even to twinks. It’s a weak deflection at best, and dishonest at worst.

At endgame? A twink is someone who is below endgame content. I often see ret paladins use the 2h agil mace and other bad combinations all in the belief that they should not have to gear in order to do well in pvp.

Even heirlooms that have been enchanted are easily comparable to the gear twinks use.

Mauden alot of the gear that twinks use is easily attainable by running dungeons for the lower level brackets or raids for the higher level brackets. Or is that too much effort for the mythical new people to put in?

Yes, end-game. That’s where gearing is your only factor and only metric. You have no more character levels in pre-end-game. As far as those ret paladins, how many of them did you ask “do you feel that you should do well in PVP with that weapon?”

This was an expansion which coined the phrase “Prepare for War”.

Developers really allowed us to make great use of every option, which some of us did with great detail. Which I am personally 100% thankful for.

Sadly the “Majority” could not seem to Prepare for war, at all.

Let me ask you something, do you legitimately think it’s reasonable to expect people leveling, to get carried through raids every bracket?

You’re the only person talking about new players, btw.
