I can understand your concerns, although…
“Previous” is a step backwards, whereas a creative step “Forward” could easily work for all parties involved.
There is a very valid issue regarding correctly geared and maintained World of Warcraft characters who are finding themselves in a somewhat “unusable” condition since 8.1.5.

Players just want to play their Avatars, paying consumers/customers are in possession of an unusable product.

Lets see what happens.

Yeah so… you’re dead wrong, Death. Bullying new players is exactly what’s going on now, because there are hundreds of unsubscribed twinks in the 20 bracket who were formed before the queues were merged. They’re all playing again. New players are going to be more dissuaded from PvP than ever and not want to subscribe to this game. You know, that definitely productive thing for Blizzard and their finances.

The game is about warring factions. BGs are where much of the war takes place. They aren’t safe spaces. Put on your big boy pants, and tell others to put on gear. It’s not that hard.

No, the problem has always been premades farming pugs.

That still goes on because nothing has been done about it.

The whole purpose of removal of xp off from access to bgs was to push them out of the game because Ion thinks everybody who isn’t a raid logger like him is playing the game wrong and needs to be eliminated.

They’ll come for your playstyle, too.

Yes, they should fix the twink brackets so players get games. They broke it in order to pander to players who wanted a pvp-free easy xp ride for their alts. Only they can fix what they broke.

Agreed.

Twinking is just a form of experienced play. “New” Players that walk in to BG half clothed do not deserve any mercy, and they don’t get any from the heirloom and experienced players. “New” players haven’t even learned to get comfortable at the controls yet.

I’m not sure why people are going mad about twinks when heirloom players pretty much have the same effect in BGs. Not to mention a fresh 120 vs. a seasoned one.

The arguments against twinks are pretty much baseless.

After 2 games in a row without a healer in the 109 bracket last night, I finally queued into a group with a healer.

My ilvl 161, always the highest in the group now, even though I’ve just leveled by mostly dungeons and bgs.

The healer had an ilvl of 56. I kid you not. :frowning:

I don’t understand what has been accomplished from separating twinks? If all twinks adapted, and turned in to lvl 10-60 leveling twinks there would be little difference.

What do you mean by “adapted”? You mean give up what they were doing and instead continually spend time rolling, rerolling, gearing, regearing, and deleting toons after playing for a few hours, that sounds more like a plan on your part to waste my time than a legitimate playstyle.

Are you sure you’re not a randomly generated forum alt of Ion’s?

And I don’t know why you are limiting me to brackets I never played.

It gave everyone what they wanted. Levelers and casuals can enter a BG without some guy with glowing weapons with a name like “Expartgamer” in a guild with a name like “Dun wurry we r pro” playing whack-a-mole in the GY while bragging about how awesome he is at PVP and how new players and casuals are lazy idiots for not bringing a gun to a knife fight. That alone astronomically improved the quality of BGs. Twinks can fight only twinks like they always tell everyone they wanted. It’s a win/win for everyone.
