Fix...the...twink...brackets

We’re trying different things at the moment. First few weeks we used a randomizer to put people on different teams. It often ended in total stomps. Then we tried Horde v Alliance, and it was even worse. I think draft pick will be our next idea. Not looking forward to seeing the last kid picked at recess all over again.

You would think a randomizer would be the best way as it’s not bias and of course, doesn’t have anyone feeling like the kid picked last. How many tries do you recall?

They get to 30 pretty fast and no twinks ever again … this system is far better

Twinks are so varying in power levels, especially at 110. The addition of Azerite Traits can really blow some specs into absurd levels of strong. A few really good players on one team can just catapult them to victory, because of the differences. We only do a few wargames a week, but the feeling I get is I had a lot more balanced games when it was 3-4 twinks on each side supplemented by non-twinks, strangely enough.

In legion, the 99 community used to have quite a few people who were interested in twinking but not gearing, and having them in the battlegrounds was a great time. Maybe if we stick around long enough we can get some other 110s into it.

Fair enough. Do you feel that way at any given bracket or particularly 110?

Cheers to that.
Players know what happens during both events, many years, many different theaters of war to compare results.

I guess team captains could jump on discord away from the teams and make the picks, then get back into game and have the teams organised.

Nobody the wiser on who the last pick was.

It really shouldn’t be this difficult just to actually play a game you pay to play. How long do you think people who have this portion as their main entertainment will continue to pay to be inconvenienced, all because some people want to join group content without any prep at all?

I asked myself that a lot before the separation.

Is this who was catered to? A good question indeed.

If there is enough twinks then you should just be able to hit que and join with xp turned off.

Wrong. The twinks are spread over too many brackets to have queues pop. Not to mention late night or early morning pick up games.

So there arnt enough twinks to get a 10v10 game going?

No one was discussing Bullying anyone.
The topic’s regarding Twinking and letting them play the game they’re paying for.
Please stay on topic.

How EXACTLY did they do that?
Because it’s still broken.

Despite all evidence to the contrary.

You clearly don’t play BGs.

Do we REALLY need to explain the math to you again (not that you really care.)

They had alternatives to gain xp. Those who like to twink are effectively shutoff from their main source of content.

Do you not realize the coordination required to get a 10v10 wargame. Now factor in work schedules, active bracket population, people willing to play certain specs etc.

Oh I understand, I’m getting that twinks are too spread out and the minority group and can’t get ques.

How ever for the lvler it’s working just fine, did some bgs in my “lazy” gear and everyone had “lazy” gear and the games were good.

I’ll give you a reply that most people give in this situation. Make friends, make community, join a twink guild, get on the XP off webpage, you need to make the effort etc etc. Levelers are told that when we come up against 5 man premades and complain, there is no empathy or sympathy on it.

It’s the same throughout the game, dungeons, raids, mythic +, pvp, rated pvp, arena etc etc. Twinks need to man up and get going. Most people have work commitments, kids, shift work, times when you can’t make it in game.

In vanilla you had to grp up to kill certain mobs, it was not easy then, but people made it happen, and the ease of grping up was not the same it was general or trade chat. There are so many tools now in the game to make grps.

Many twinks attempted to prolong the life of their bracket through wargames. The only brackets left are 19s, 20s w/ no sub, and the odd wargame from 59s.

As for more tools that allow communication, this is true. But you overlook the tools that make gearing easier than ever. In this expansion with subs going down the toilet there is a lack of people overall, and those who twink is a small minority of that pool. Factor in finding people who like your particular bracket and have the same schedule as you - unlikely.

BGs are still landslide wins for 1 side determined by team composition and class imbalances. It used to be the jobs of the developers to properly balance and tune pvp and pve. Now though - they are entirely incapable of that so they just throw their hands up and say “screw it”.

Its ok though, we are rewarded with more cash shop mounts and rep gated crap.
