It happens a lot where a group of players… (mainly herod players) reporting a individual for afk straight away after the gate is open and it kicked them out because of the timing to get from the cave towards any Horde. This players should be punished for abusing the automated system. Recently was in a AV. It has just started and I was under attack by the Horde but I hadn’t make a hit off, didn’t notice some group of people had reported me for AFK. DESPITE IN COMBAT and I got deserter. This is broken.
Yes, the same thing happened to me. They use it to get their guild in for the rep. Obviously against the TOS, this is likely going to result in some suspensions.
A lengthy holiday and a full reset of honour would be a fitting punishment for this shartfookery
It gives you a three minute debuff to find PvP combat. Doing ANYTHING to an enemy player will remove the debuff and keep you in the BG.
If you’re getting kicked, it’s because you’re not really playing.
As for this:
It only takes 3 minutes to get to Drek. You can easily reach Horde before then.
Down with that, complete honor/rep wipe to teach these s heads a lesson
No, if enough people report you, regardless of any situation you are kicked.
Think on this before a further answer.
They’re doing it to get their premades in.
it does not, i’ve been kicked from the battleground THE SECOND IT STARTED
They either spam report AFK, or abuse the other bug where leader removes you from the group
If enough players report you AFK in a short period of time, you will be instantly removed from the bg, even if you’re in mid-combat.
I guess it’s not happened to me, yet. I’ve seen people get the debuff (and have received it myself), but I’ve not been kicked instantly before.
It’s a shame Blizzard put in the RCR system that is so easily abused, then.
It’s to deal with bots that could stay in combat.
Unfortunately, some premades exploit this hidden feature.
e.g.
go on forums > cry > go on forums again > cry more
Don’t go about justifying the terrible automated systems. The last thing Blizzard needs is an excuse to keep this system because of some hypothetical good it can do at the very real expense of innocent players being abused by it.
I’m explaining why it’s there.
You’re the one who was just telling players:
Cool.
Well, I suppose that’s because I’ve received the debuff and have been able to just remove it by playing the game.
I’ve never been kicked instantly, but I’ve also never AFK’d in a BG. If you can be kicked instantly despite not being AFK or actually being in PvP, then…
I don’t care if it supposedly stops bots, or some such nonsense. I’d rather have bots PvPing in mid (they’ll be detected for botting and banned, anyway) than innocent people being kicked from a BG.
You’re an absolute genius, attempting to break the cycle of feedback with your common as gray item cynicism.
No one will ever make a post again as long as you’re around.
I’ve seen this happen a couple times and have screenshots if it. Some people wanted assist but the leader didnt know he was lead so those guys told everyone to report him afk. After that guy got kicked the next leader said he would do it in a second but apparently wasnt fast enough because he was reported afk and kicked almost immediately. This is ridiculous and needs to be reworked.
No. If you have enough people report them they are removed instantly. No debuff.
Stop going AFK… you won’t have this problem
This does NOT fix the problem. It’s not about AFK. You can be in combat with horde and you still get kicked and deserter if enough people report you as afk. It’s broken.
Actually before the fix, that it was implemented 1 minute buddy. And as I stated, I had been moving with the group the moment the gates open with 1 minute to attack the horde. Got stunned locked by Horde and apparently doesn’t count as engagement with the enemy and I got kicked because I ran out of time.
