Fix Long Queues by Making them Fun!

Original post was written with the help of AI. Decided to re-write to make it less of a wall of text

Concept is simple:

Create a team deathmatch style lobby for those that are in queue

2v2 matches

Instant reset and replace of next player in line, regardless of spec/role, upon player death… don’t allow double healer, though

Each kill rewards the active team in either conquest (I’m imagining around 3 conquest) or gold (20g?)

This should be a fast paced lobby with the goal being players are able to PvP while sitting in solo/blitz queues.

Edited to add:

I also think it would be neat if this pre-game lobby was independent from the players current rating. This would give an opportunity for lower rated players to play with higher rated players. Make it extremely obvious when a r1 player is playing, or any player over a certain rating.

Haha yes. It has some weird errors but the general idea is there.

Or, and this idea just came to me after reading your thread, when you are in queue, it puts you into other lobbies around your MMR as a spectator, and you can gamble on games with gold against other people spectating

How blizzard’s servers would handle dozens of people spectating lobbies, idk, but that’s not my problem to figure out

All in on the ret every single lobby even if they’re wearing the judgement set while wielding Ashkandi. I’m going to be rich.

That would be the fun part, the odds would increase with each game of this depending on who is getting bet on more (if no one takes the other side), so by the end you could be getting 5:1 with a bet on the ret to choke his 6-0 and throw a game

I like this idea too!

They could even give players the option to do this while they’re waiting to play…. Or give you the option to spectate/bet or be involved in the playing. Either way, they need to make queue times feel fun and productive!

why do you need an AI to write a wow forum post?People like you are what make these forums a joke.

I’m sorry your day isn’t going well. I hope it turns around for you.

I believe counter strike does something like this. It keeps people playing in between matches.

Didn’t we just deal with a ChatPGT poster the other day who responded with this same thing when called out on it?

edit: Yep found it:

Hmm ya sometimes AI adds some extra fluff. The original post wasn’t too bad, actually, but it was overly excited.
